TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. 1. Employees covered by this Agreement shall be granted time off with pay for jury duty when they are legally summoned for jury duty, subject to the terms and conditions provided for in subsections 2 through 6, inclusive, of this Article, below.

TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. The City shall grant up to 22 business days off to Employee i f h e i s required to serve on jury duty, with compensation at Employee's existing pay rate. The Employee shall remit to the City any money paid to his by the court for jury service.
TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. 1. An employee shall be granted time off with pay for reporting for jury duty upon presentation of satisfactory evidence of jury duty service. The employee agrees to allow a payroll adjustment to his/her biweekly pay check, deducting an amount equal to his/her compensation received (exclusive of travel pay and compensation for such duty or service performed on off-duty days) for such duty or service. No greater amount of time off shall be granted than necessary, and in any case where an employee is called for jury duty and reports without receiving a jury assignment for that day, or in a case where an employee is engaged in jury duty for a part of a day, the employee shall call their supervisor and if directed, shall report for the performance of City duties for the remainder of the day.
TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. 1. Employees, other than those employed on a provisional basis, shall be entitled to time off with pay while on jury duty upon presentation of satisfactory evidence relating to this duty to the Fire Department Administration Bureau; all other cash compensation exclusive of parking expenses received by the employee for jury duty shall be immediately paid over to the City Treasurer and the employee shall make no subsequent claim for it whatsoever.
TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. The Employer will reimburse an employee for all regularly scheduled time lost while the employee is on jury duty or subpoenaed as a Crown Witness. Such reimbursement shall be the difference between the employee's regular rate of pay and the amount he received for such jury duty or witness fee. The employee will be required to show that he was on jury duty or acting as a Crown Witness and he will be required to establish the amount of money he received for such duty.
TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. Nurses called for jury duty on a scheduled workday will be relieved from duty for such shifts. These Nurses must notify their Manager/Director.
TIME OFF FOR JURY DUTY. Any employee called upon to serve jury duty will be paid the difference between whatever payment the employee receives from the court and the employee’s regular straight time hourly rate for the day. Payment will be for no more than three (3) days per year per employee. Proof of service on a jury and payment received from the court will be required before payment is processed.

  • Witness or Jury Duty Employees called to serve on juries or to obey a subpoena shall receive their regular salaries during such periods, less the fees received for such service provided the employee returns to work if they are released from jury duty prior to 1:00 p.m. An employee serving on a jury will not be assigned to work on evenings or weekends during such jury service.

  • Jury Duty 31.1 An employee who is summoned for jury duty and is required to lose time from his assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one basic day's pay at the straight time rate of his position for each day lost, less the amount allowed him for jury duty for each such day excluding allowances paid by the court for meals, lodging or transportation, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

When night jury service is required of an employee, the employee shall be allowed time off without loss of compensation for such portion of the required time that coincides with the employee's normal work schedule. This includes any necessary travel time.

Any employee who is absent due to a court appearance to testify on behalf of the school or who is subpoenaed to testify because of an incident which arose out of the employee’s being a witness to events at school, shall be granted paid professional leave upon the employee submitting to the Administration a copy of the subpoena as verification for the leave.

  • Compliance with Contractor Employee Jury Service Ordinance Contractor shall comply with the County Ordinance with respect to provision of jury duty pay to employees and have and adhere to a written policy that provides that its employees shall receive from the Contractor, on an annual basis, no less than five days of regular pay for actual jury service in San Mateo County. The policy may provide that employees deposit any fees received for such jury service with the Contractor or that the Contractor deduct from the employees’ regular pay the fees received for jury service.

  • Convicted, Discriminatory, Antitrust Violator, and Suspended Vendor Lists In accordance with sections 287.133, 287.134, and 287.137, F.S., the Contractor is hereby informed of the provisions of sections 287.133(2)(a), 287.134(2)(a), and 287.137(2)(a), F.S. For purposes of this Contract, a person or affiliate who is on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List may not perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under the Contract. The Contractor must notify the Department if it or any of its suppliers, subcontractors, or consultants have been placed on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List during the term of the Contract. In accordance with section 287.1351, F.S., a vendor placed on the Suspended Vendor List may not enter into or renew a contract to provide any goods or services to an agency after its placement on the Suspended Vendor List. A firm or individual placed on the Suspended Vendor List pursuant to section 287.1351, F.S., the Convicted Vendor List pursuant to section 287.133, F.S., the Antitrust Violator Vendor List pursuant to section 287.137, F.S., or the Discriminatory Vendor List pursuant to section 287.134, F.S., is immediately disqualified from Contract eligibility.

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
