Training Methodology. This User Manual has been developed in the framework of CrossJustice Project, running from September 2019 to February 2022, by the team of the Centre for Judicial Cooperation of the European University Institute (EUI). The User Manual aims to propose a common methodology of legal training to better improve and implement the procedural rights enshrined in the EU Directives and to increase the awareness of legal professionals about the importance of judicial dialogue. It includes 12 Hypotheticals on several aspect regarding procedural rights as well as useful materials (legislation, case law, reports’ excerpts) for the resolution of the cases. Training methodology entails sharing of perceptions of challenges related to failures of protection. It then propose the means for tackling them via relevant exchanges of existing best practices, existing training materials and repositories of documents and standards on procedural rights protection across Europe, thereby identifying gaps in terms of training (including national case law). The underlying philosophy of the Centre for Judicial Cooperation of the EUI, as a partner institution of CrossJustice, is to support judges and legal professionals, and to xxxxxx cooperation on the ongoing challenges undergone by the due process of law across Europe, by promoting the awareness on the substantive and procedural tools offered by CFR and ECtHR-based standards and encouraging legal professionals in becoming familiar with judicial interaction techniques. National courts, prosecutors, arbitrators and lawyers including solicitors must be equipped with a set of legal notions and criteria aimed at assessing the effective degree of procedural rights’ protection in each domestic judicial system concerned (either their own system or that of another Member State). More precisely, this training targets three major needs for legal trainees. In particular, the needs assessment regards two aspects: the lack of knowledge of practical issues and the risk of weak application of the procedural rights standards. CrossJustice Transnational Training will support trainees in the identification of the scope of the EU Directives which remains challenging for national courts and lawyers and in learning by exchange with peers. Training Methodology. WAMDIA has been developed as a fully online programme, with the intention of making all resources available offline for face-to-face, teacher-led delivery. In certain circumstances this alternative may be more attractive, particularly to reinforce practical skills with direct hands-on sessions. Students will be provided with individual logins to the custom Moodle site hosting the course. The online course includes clearly articulated and illustrated instructions to address course objectives, with practical examples. There is an ungraded self-assessment quiz after each content presentation and a graded assessment at the end of each module. Each module will show an example of at least one solved practical exercise followed by an assignment involving a practical exercise. The student will upload their solution, which will then be graded. All of these sources of information are evaluated by the tutor and used to calculate the overall performance of the participant. The WAMDIA authors recommend that tutors provide a face-to-face training session at the start of the course. This session is used to introduce the students to the objectives and rationale of the programme and offer advice on how to use the platform. and training materials. This session is not compulsory but normally helps to engage students in the course. After this session, students should be ready to start on the self-directed content, doing the assignments and participating in the online forum as appropriate. The WAMDIA authors also recommend an average of, at least, 4 hours of practical face-to-face training session to clarify doubts on practical assignments or help students to complete exercises. The total number of face-to-face hours will depend on the needs of the students and can be organised accordingly: e.g. several one-hour sessions, two of two hours, one single session of 4 hours, etc. It is also a desirable that the learning management platform, Moodle in the case of the initial delivery WAMDIA, is accessible, as well as all course materials, tutor presentations etc.

Training Methodology. 1. For other than minor systems and or process changes, operator subject matter experts (SMEs) will be identified by the USW to provide input on the accuracy of the training material for the establishment of new qualification/certifications and changes to qualifications/certifications,. other than minor systems and or process changes. In the event USW does not designate SMEs within five (5) ten (10) working days of the Company’s request, management will designate and assign the needed SME’s. Management shall approve the qualification/certification packages and assure training is administered for personnel as required. The final decision regarding requirements and training material will remain with the Employer.
