UNIFORM AND CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 31.01 The Corporation shall provide a Uniform and Clothing Allowance to all permanent employees as outlined in Appendix ‘F’ for the duration of this Collective Agreement. 31.02 The Corporation shall supply protective clothing for employees working in machine rooms in the Administration and Technical Services Unit. 31.03 Effective January 1, 2016 and each year thereafter, the Corporation will reimburse an employee once each calendar year to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) towards the purchase of C.S.A.-approved safety footwear to each employee who is required by the Corporation to wear such footwear when performing their daily normal and regular work duties. This payment will be processed through employee expense reporting along with the employee submitting an original paid invoice or receipt for such purpose. For those employees in the Administrative and Technical Services Unit, the Corporation will replace such safety footwear when they are no longer in good repair not to exceed once each calendar year.

(c) All employees shall be responsible for the normal upkeep of their uniform as per Article 26.02(b). The replacement of unserviceable or lost items will be made upon surrender of items, or proof of loss, if replacement is necessary as a result of normal wear. Requests for replacement shall be made through an individual authorized by the Employer (who will normally be a unit chief). (d) The Employer agrees to supply the uniform item which is required within sixty (60) days of receipt of the order at the supply depot. In the event the Employer cannot supply the requested item, the Employer shall supply a suitable permanent or temporary alternative to that item within the same sixty (60) days. (e) All employees in Regions 3 to 8 inclusive will be issued the following uniform items in addition to the regular uniform issue in (a) above. • 1 pair of winter boots • 1 pair of winter gloves • 1 winter hat • 2 pair heavyweight socks • 1 pair long underwear The Employer will issue additional uniform items required in a specific station or region as determined by PJLMC. (f) Such other items of uniform that may be required shall be mutually agreed to by the PJLMC.

UNIFORM AND CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 30.01 Work clothes required to be worn by the Employees shall be supplied by the Employer. Employees are required to wear uniforms while on duty and may be sent home without pay for failing to bring and wear their uniform. Employees are responsible for care and upkeep of assigned uniforms. Uniforms may be replaced more often based on demonstrated need. Work clothes will apply to the following areas: a) Maintenance and Custodial: the Employer will provide a maximum of two (2) pairs of pants and two (2) shirts for each Employee per year, based on need and condition of apparel provided in previous years. b) Food and Beverage: Employees will be required to wear such uniforms as set out by the Area Manager. The Employer agrees to provide Employees with one (1) uniform for those Employees regularly scheduled to work up to twenty one and one half (21-1/2) hours per week. Two (2) uniforms will be provided for those Employees regularly scheduled to work over twenty one and one half (21-1/2) hours per week. c) Venues Staff: i) Full Time Salary Technical Staff: the Employer will provide a maximum of two (2) shirts for each Employee per year and will reimburse each Employee for a maximum of two (2) pairs of black pants, based on need and condition of apparel provided in previous years. ii) Part Time Hourly Technical Staff: the Employer will provide a maximum of two (2) shirts for each Employee per year based on the frequency of scheduled shifts and based on need and condition of apparel provided in previous years. Employees are required to wear dark colour pants. iii) Part Time Hourly Front of House Staff: new Employees may be provided with a vest and are required to provide a deposit of $50 before their first shift. The deposit will be paid back to the employee in the form of $1 per hour worked until such time as the full $50 is reimbursed. Employees are required to wear black shirts and pants with the vest. Employees shall be responsible for maintaining their uniforms and will be charged the full cost for a replacement due to damage outside of normal wear and tear. These vests are property of the Students' Union and must be returned upon request, if the Employee plans to take no shifts for a period of time greater than two (2) months or at the end of employment. iv) Uniforms are not required for meetings or maintenance shifts It is understood that only uniforms or aprons will be provided; personal clothing will not be supplied. 30.02 Where the conditions of employme...
