Use of Days a. The maximum number of days granted per application shall be limited to the equivalent of the employee’s thirty (30) work days donated from the bank per school year.
b. In case of extreme or unusual circumstances, the employee may appeal to the Sick Leave Bank Committee for consideration to extend beyond the thirty- (30-) day per school year limit.
c. During his/her employment with the district, the employee shall be limited to the equivalent of the employee’s ninety (90) work days donated from the bank.
d. Donations from the bank will not be permitted for employees who have been released to work for any portion of the workday.
e. A qualifying employee who has exhausted his/her availability of donated leave under the Sick Leave Bank policy may utilize sick days donated by individual employees as per the Individual Sick Leave Donation Program below.
f. As of the effective date an employee is approved for payment(s) under the long-term disability policy provided by the district, the employee will cease to qualify to utilize sick bank days. All donated sick leave must be given voluntarily. No employee shall be coerced, threatened, intimidated, or financially induced into donating sick leave for purposes of this program. This policy shall be reevaluated and/or revised annually by the Sick Leave Bank Committee.
Use of Days. When an employee is on a leave of absence due to illness, the employee has the right to elect to use the benefits accrued under sick leave policy.
Use of Days. Leave days deducted from the total may be taken for the following reasons subject to the following conditions:
Use of Days. ▪ To enable the four-day working week, the employee uses the following types of days. - Public holidays recognised in this collective agreement that fall on working days. - Holidays, taking into account their entitlement to three consecutive weeks of summer holiday. - Scheduled days off. These days are accrued on the basis of a full five-day working week. Use of these days is done in consultation with the employer. With respect to construction site employees, the latter applies by way of derogation from section 3.2.3(2). - Additional scheduled days off for older workers. ▪ If the employee has too few days available to work four days a week all year, they can work five days a few weeks a year and/or buy extra days from the employer.

Use of Days. Days will be used to focus on the following four (4) areas (details and a ‘menu’ of 35 work can be found in APPENDIX O):
1 a. What do we want students to learn?
2 b. How will we know if they have learned it?
3 c. What will we do to help students when they have not learned it?
4 d. What will we do to extend the learning for those students who already have learned it?
Use of Days. Except for the President, Grievance Chair, Vice President, and Bargaining Chair, no other officer or designated Association representative may individually utilize more than five (5) of these days in one (1) school year.

INDIVIDUAL SICK LEAVE DONATION PROGRAM This program provides a method for full-time and part-time employees who have been employed with the district for three (3) consecutive years to receive donations for extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment or physical or mental condition or pregnancy or recovery from childbirth that has caused or will cause the employee to exhaust all accumulated sick leave earned pursuant to the School Laws of Oklahoma. Requests for donations under this program must be submitted to the Sick Bank Committee for review to determine if employee qualifies for donation under this policy. A USPA/UCTA representative will, if request for donation is approved, distribute information to facilitate donations under this policy. In order for an employee to donate sick leave to another employee under this program, the donating employee must meet the following conditions:
1. The donating employee must be a full-time or part-time employee and may not donate more than ten (10) sick leave days in any one school year.
2. The donating employee may not donate:
a. Sick leave brought in from other districts.
b. Xxxx leave accrued in excess ...
Use of Days. (a) An employee taking sick leave is to notify his/her immediate supervisor of his/her absence by telephone as soon as the employee knows of the need for the leave.
(b) After an absence of five (5) consecutive work days, or if the District has reason to suspect abuse of sick leave, the District will require the employee to provide a physician’s statement regarding the nature of the individual’s illness and/or approving the employee’s return to work.
(c) If an employee leaves permanent employment during the school year and has taken more sick days than he/she has earned, the employee shall pay the District back for the days used but not earned.
Use of Days. (a) An employee taking sick leave is to provide notice of his/her absence, in accordance with procedures or directives communicated by the District, as soon as the employee knows of the need for the leave.
(b) After an absence of five (5) consecutive work days, or if the District has reason to suspect abuse of sick leave, the District will require the employee to provide a physician's statement regarding the nature of the individual's illness and/or approving the employee's return to work.
