Vacancy Notification. Interested employees may apply in writing to the Superintendent, or designee, within the posting period. The Employer shall notify employees who provide it with stamped, self-addressed envelopes of vacancies occurring during the summer months (June, July, and August).

The Employer shall notify bargaining unit members of vacancies occurring during the summer months (June, July, August) by sending notice of same to each bargaining unit member via U.S. mail to their last known address. The bargaining unit member shall make the request in writing, on a form provided by the Central Office. A copy of the posting shall also be sent to the home address of the Association President.

For teachers presently not in active service but who are members of the bargaining unit, the Employer shall send each via mail a copy of the current postings of vacancies if said teachers provide the Employer with self-addressed, stamped envelopes for that purpose. In addition, for all teachers, the Employer shall send each via mail a copy of the current posting of vacancies during the non-school months if said teachers provide the Employer with self-addressed, stamped envelopes for that purpose.
Vacancy Notification. Notice of all vacancies shall be placed on the District’s website for seven (7) days before the final date when applications must be submitted. Any eligible person interested in a posted vacancy shall apply by completing the online application for the position posted through the District website. Job Descriptions will be written for each job classification and will be available for all applicants and the union.

Vacancy Notification. Interested parties may apply in writing to the Superintendent, or designee, within the posting period. Bargaining unit members who wish to be considered for any openings that may occur during the summer should submit a letter of interest before the last day of school. The posting will also be placed in the pay envelopes of those receiving paychecks through the summer.
Vacancy Notification. A.1 A vacancy is any position that is not currently staffed due to changes in enrollment, retirement, transfer, or resignation. Whenever a vacancy occurs that requires certification, a notice of such vacancy shall be posted on the district’s web site and in each school building in a prominent location. These notices will include the job description, effective date of vacancy, type of certification necessary, (building, grade level, subject area), and information concerning the securing and deadline for filing of the application. A like notice will be posted in the same location(s) for extra-curricular positions. A minimum of seven (7) workdays posting in district is required before any vacancy may be filled (except in cases when an opening occurs 3 weeks before the opening of school, during the school year, or in ELL or a hard-to-fill secondary position). During summer months, vacancy notices will be sent electronically. A work day is defined as a day when the Administration office is open for business.
A.2 All vacancies shall be posted on the district’s web site and on the bulletin board in the district office and in the office area of each Building principal/director. A copy shall be sent to the president of the CEA or his/her designated representative at the time of the initial posting.
Vacancy Notification. A. Laid-off employees will be notified of any vacancies that are not filled by callback and allowed to apply for those positions.
B. The City agrees not to hire any temporary, seasonal, or emergency employees until qualified laid-off employee(s) have been notified and offered these positions. Laid-off employees shall have a maximum of three working days to accept or reject these noncivil service positions.
