Xxxx Leave and Personal Leave. Each teacher shall be granted ten (10) sick leave days for each school year. In addition, each teacher shall be granted three (3) days each school year which may be utilized as sick leave or at the teacher’s discretion, for the transaction of personal business. However, only one personal business day and two sick days will be given for current teachers at the beginning of the school year. The remaining eight sick days and two personal business days will be awarded after fifteen school days. New teachers will receive the ten sick days and three personal business days after the fifteenth day. If a teacher is employed on an extended regular Teacher contract (for 41 weeks or more) then that teacher shall be granted one (1) additional sick leave day each school year of the extended contract.

Xxxx Leave and Personal Leave. Ten-month (10-month) employment -ten (10) days a year accumulative to ninety (90) days. Twelve month employment - twelve days (12) per year accumulative to ninety-five (95) days. Three (3) days of sick leave may be used for personal leave to take care of urgent and compelling business and emergencies for which no other time than in-school time can be used. Three (3) days of personal leave shall be at the sole discretion of the employee. Personal leave shall not be used to extend vacation periods. Personal leave shall not be cumulative from year to year. Any employee who currently has more than 90 accumulated days of sick leave will retain the number of days accumulated up to the prior contract limit of 110. Sick leave shall include personal illness, illness in the immediate family, death in the immediate family or disability, provided that the employee in the case of pregnancy or other disability secure medical proof of disability and duration of disability from a qualified physician. Further, in cases when the period of disability is in dispute, the Board and the employee shall by mutual agreement, acquire a second medical opinion verifying the disability or duration of disability provided that no medical request may be asked for any disability that involves a duration of five days or less.

  • Sick Leave and Personal Leave The Administrator shall be granted paid sick leave, as defined in Section 24-6 of The School Code, of twelve (12) workdays per contract year accumulative to three hundred forty (340) days. The Administrator shall be granted three (3) paid personal leave days per contract year for personal business. Unused personal leave days shall be credited towards the Administrator’s accumulated sick leave.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
