Aid Attendants a) There shall be qualified first aid attendants holding a St. Xxxx Ambulance, Standard First Aid certificate, present on all shifts. The company agrees to pay for one (1) selected employee per shift from the bargaining unit. b) The company shall pay for the fees, textbooks and lost time of all first aid attendants and explained in paragraph (a), upon the successful completion of the course.

Aid AttendantsWhere an employee is required by the College to assume responsibility as a first aid attendant and in so doing requires a current appropriate level Industrial First Aid Certificate, the College shall grant leave of absence with pay for the purpose of attending the necessary courses, both initial training and required upgrading. Where the first aid training in question is given on a compressed basis essentially requiring full-time attendance, the attendee shall, in addition to receiving full salary for the days of attendance, receive credit for each full day of attendance of an additional amount of three hours straight time "lieu credit" to be taken or paid for as provided in Article XI E of the Collective Agreement. Every effort will be made to enable employees to take the regular rather than the compressed course. Aid Attendants. Teachers who possess Industrial First Aid Certificates may request in writing to the superintendent of schools to be designated as first aid attendants in schools where W.C.B. requires such coverage. The work responsibilities shall be determined by W.C.B. regulations and otherwise as determined by the Board and the CTA. The rate of pay for K – 12 teachers shall be $100 per month of service. The rate of pay for Adult Education teachers shall be one dollar ($1.00) per hour of service.

In cases where no internal applicant has filled a vacant position, the City may require a new employee to train as a Level 2 First Aid Attendant. Such training shall not be required of internal applicants should such a position become vacant, in cases of redundancy or job rearrangement due to layoff and recall. Employees now holding Designated First Aid positions with a valid Industrial First Aid Ticket, regardless of the level of the "Ticket", shall be paid seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour which will be attached to their hourly rate of pay until their ticket expires. The City reserves the right to determine the number of non-designated and designated First Aid Attendants.

All such training will be completed within twelve (12) months of the effective date of this collective agreement. • Lockout Training The training program shall be the eight (8) hour course of- fered by the CAW with such additional course material as committee may determine necessary. • The JH&SC shall review and develop a procedure for con- fined space entry and review all training requirements. • The JH&SC will obtain written information, which identi- fies all the biological agents, compounds, substances, by- products and physical hazards, associated with the work environment. This information shall include, but not be limited to, potential hazards, results of testing to deter- mine levels of contamination, maximum allowable levels, precautions to be taken, symptoms, medical treatment and antidotes. • The company shall ensure that annual audiometric tests and noise surveys are made available for all employees. The re- sults will be given to the employees in a sealed envelope. Statistics shall be supplied to the JH & SC. Aid Attendants. It is agreed to amend sub-section ‘c’ to provide for an adjustment to the Level 3 premium to $1.00 per hour, effective the first pay period following notice of ratification.
