Health & Safety Training. The Union representative to the Health & Safety Committee shall not be unreasonably denied Educational Leave to attend seminars, workshops, and/or training sessions sponsored by the Union or a government agency or department for instruction and/or upgrading on health and safety matters.
Health & Safety Training. 1. On an ongoing basis, the University shall provide training and information about the University’s health and safety programs. Postdoctoral Scholars shall take all required training based on the requirements of the Laboratory/workplace. Training includes information about:
a. the health and safety protocols and emergency procedures associated with the Postdoctoral Scholars research and, where applicable, known specific hazards associated with the Postdoctoral Scholar’s research,
b. the health and safety rights and responsibilities of both the employer and the Postdoctoral Scholar, and
c. the procedures available to Postdoctoral Scholars to xxxxx or report any unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.
2. The University will provide relevant training/information for reasonably foreseeable hazards that are related to exploratory research, and for tasks/procedures known to have associated safety risks.
3. The University shall document training that is provided to Postdoctoral Scholars.

Health & Safety Training. Every active member of the Local employed by the Company at sites which fall within the scope of the Collective Agreement will be provided with an appropriate level of Health and Safety instruction during the term of this Agreement. This training will be relative to statutory (or other legislated) require- ments and/or job-specific hazards or working procedures.
Health & Safety Training. Community Living Xxxxxxxx & CUPE 3943 in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee agree that one of the most effective ways to address workplace risks and hazards is through training and education. Training must include both general Health & Safety information as required by the Ontario Health and Safety Act and training specific to individual classifications and/or worksites if required. All employees will be trained on the Health and Safety program, first during the orientation session at the time of initial hire, and subsequently during times when new practices are implemented, new hazards are identified and work methods are developed to address these hazards, and on specific topics that may be identified through the on-going hazard assessment and control activities. Training may include: safety talks, postings, reading documents, online training, classroom training, webinars, e-courses, etc. It is agreed that full time and part time staff training will be facilitated by co- facilitators with at least one of the facilitators being a union member. The Employer, in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee will review any recommendations flowing from the JHSC or health and safety representative to determine which, if any training or educational programs are required. Additionally, Union members of the JHSC will be provided the opportunity to complete certification training; insofar as it can reasonably be determined the employee will remain a member of the JHSC for a period of greater than one (1) year, through the Workers Health and Safety Centre
Health & Safety Training. The Company agrees to meet any health and safety training requirements and expenses as per statute.
Health & Safety Training. (1) All new hires to receive a minimum of two (2) days of Heath and Safety training.
(2) The Union Health and Safety Representative shall have input into training programs being developed for employees. Before the Company implements a training program where no mutual agreement has been reached with the Union Health and Safety Representative, it will be discussed with a Representative of the National Union and the plant Chairperson. 1708 1709
Health & Safety Training. (a) Training to be provided to all employees regarding violence in the workplace where applicable by site.
(b) The Employer will provide all required personal protection equipment, it shall be kept in an area that is accessible to the employees at any time.
(c) The Employer will, where appropriate, allow injured employee to return on a GRTW. All GRTW programs will be designed with the medical opinion of the employee’s attending physician. The Employer will not request the employee to work outside of the physical limitations documented by the attending physician.
Health & Safety Training. 1.01 The Federation will cooperate with the District in any necessary public health actions, including but not limited to those actions recommended by the Federal, State, and Ventura County Public Health. Unit members shall continue to perform their assigned work.
1.02 Some groups may be more vulnerable to COVID-19. Those more likely to become ill will include adults ages 65+, individuals with compromised immune systems, and individuals who have an active or unstable chronic medical condition. The District shall encourage the affected employee to submit a form to request to participate in the Interactive Process to determine if a reasonable accommodation such as working from home in the case of distance learning may be considered for the employee, and the time period for which that accommodation will be offered. The employee will be required to provide a doctor's note to HR to begin the process; the District will be as flexible as reasonably possible, with all accommodation considered on a case by case basis.
1.03 All unit members working remotely will follow terms and conditions set forth in this MOU and will meet minimum expectations for remote work, as set by the District.
1.04 The District will train its employees in public health measures, hygiene, and sanitation to help prevent the spread of the virus and will ensure that its facilities have the necessary supplies for preventive sanitation measures.
1.05 The District will train Unit members on safety protocols and provide safety materials. Training will take place before school begins and as part of the contracted day. Training will be provided throughout the year as requested by the Federation and as needed.
1.06 School Safety Binders will be made available to all staff at each site.
Health & Safety Training. 4.12.1 The Service Provider shall ensure that its staff are appropriately trained in Health & Safety and that the appropriate operational procedures are communicated to its staff and to the employees of it‟s suppliers working in the Premises or other locations under this Contract. The Service Provider shall ensure that its Health & Safety training standards and material are updated to reflect changes to legislation or good practice guidelines.
