ARTICLE RECOGNITION. The Employer recognizes the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for all employees as described in the Certification Order No. 7983-U issued by the Canada Industrial Relations Board dated February as described in Clause The Employer shall advise prospective employees that the workplace is unionized.
ARTICLE RECOGNITION. The Board and the Union agree that the employees in the bargaining unit described in Article will be divided into three (3) separate and distinct Jurisdictional Groups as follows:
ARTICLE RECOGNITION. Employer recognizes the Union as the sole bargaining agent of all employees of the respondent, save and except supervisors, persons above the rank of supervisor, office and clerical employees and students employed during the vacation period. The Employer agrees to notify the Union, writing within three (3) weeks, of the name of any new employee within the unit as well as the classification and work location for which they have been hired.
ARTICLE RECOGNITION. The Employer recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local as the sole and exclusive Bargaining Agent for all Employees covered by the Agreement, in accordance with the Certificate No. issued by the Alberta Labour Relations Board and all subsequent amendments thereto. Non-bargaining Unit Employees shall not be employed in the performance of jobs included in the Bargaining Unit where such employment causes the lay off or other loss of employment or the reduction in normal hours of work or pay on the part of the Bargaining Unit Employees. The Employer shall not enter into any agreement with any individual Employee or group of Employees in the Bargaining Unit respecting the terms and conditions of employment contained herein unless any such agreement is first agreed to by the Union. The Parties hereto recognizewhenever masculine or feminine is used in this Agreement, it shall be considered as if the alternate has been used, where this does not extend or change the original intent or meaning of the Clause. The Parties hereto recognize Federal and Provincial Legislation respecting human rights and civil liberties and specifically the Employer shall not exercise or practice discrimination with respect to any Employee in the matter of hiring, wage rates, training, upgrading, promotion, transfer, lay off, recall, discipline, discharge, classificationor otherwise, by reason of age, race, creed, colour, national origin, political party affiliation or activity, marital status, place of residence, religion, sexual orientation, sex, physical and mental handicap or by reason of his membership or activity in the Union, except where otherwise provided for by the provisions of this Agreement, includingthe requirementsof positions covered by this Agreement, or by countermanding legislation. Harassment The Employer and the Union are committed to improving the workplace by maintaining a work environment for all its which is free from all forms of harassment. Should an Employee feel that they have suffered harassment, the Employee so affected is encouraged to speak out and bring the matter to the attention of a Supervisor, or a Executive Member or the Human Resources Department for investigation and action.

ARTICLE RECOGNITION. The Corporation recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent with respect to all matters covered by this Agreement for all permanent full time clerical and technical employees who are employed by the Corporation of the City of in the classifications listed in Schedule “A” of the Collective Agreement, including classifications that are added to the bargaining unit time-to-time.
