Attendance at Union Meetings. Employees whose regular shift occurs at official union meeting times, which are scheduled outside the District’s regular student day, will be excused for up to one (1) hour per month to attend such meetings, provided; 1) prior notice (24-hours) has been given to the immediate supervisor, 2) the building is left secured, and 3) the time absent from his/her job is made up on the same day.
Attendance at Union Meetings. In accordance with Florida Statute §447.509, no faculty member shall miss any class or fail to perform any official duty to attend a Union meeting or attend to Union business except as noted in this section.
Attendance at Union Meetings. Section A. The College shall not grant temporary duty assignment for a faculty member to attend Union affiliate meetings or to participate in any Union activities. Neither will the College bear any expense for faculty attendance at such meetings or participation in such activities.
Attendance at Union Meetings. 1) Each Employee shall be allowed two (2) hours per month, no more than once each month and no more than six (6) times each contract year, for the purpose of attending Stewards' shop, local or other Union meetings. Shop Stewards and Union local officers will be allowed two (2) hours off once a month for three (3) additional meetings during any contract year. The Unit Chair and up to two Shop Stewards shall be permitted to bank the foregoing hours in order to attend one (1) full day union training or conference per year and, notwithstanding paragraph (3), shall not be required to make up the time used for such purposes.
Attendance at Union Meetings. 1. One representative employee in each school and Central Office, on a rotating basis, will be allowed to attend Membership meetings by use of a flexible work schedule on the meeting day. The Union is to submit a list of the employees scheduled to attend these meetings to Human Resources by the Friday after Labor Day. For the purpose of implementing this section, representative employees not located at a school will be assigned to the Central Office rotation.
Attendance at Union Meetings. Any Union Xxxxxxx, Union Alternate Xxxxxxx or Executive Board Member shall not be scheduled to work during the regularly scheduled monthly Union meeting (presently the 2nd Tuesday of each month). The Xxxxxxx or Alternate Xxxxxxx will receive one (1) hour per month with pay to attend a union meeting. If the officer(s) elect(s) not to attend the regular monthly union meeting, he/she shall so advise management one (1) week prior to it and his/her work schedule shall not be changed. No more than two (2) members of the Library staff will be allowed to attend monthly Union meetings or local Union Executive Board meetings because of needed schedule changes.
Attendance at Union Meetings. Firefighters may attend Union meetings with the approval of the on-duty senior fire official (SFO) when mission requirements and availability allow. The Employer may provide them with radio and a fire department vehicle so that they can respond to emergencies.
Attendance at Union Meetings. Subject to the need for orderly scheduling in the courts and in emergencies, the Employer agrees that elected officials of the Union shall be permitted reasonable time off with loss of pay to attend general board or special meetings of the Union provided that at least twenty-four (24) hours notice of such meetings shall be given in writing if possible to the Employer and provided further that the names of all such officials and officers shall be certified in writing to the Employer.
Attendance at Union Meetings. The Employer agrees the Union may hold union meetings during work hours so long as attendance at such meetings does not interfere with the ability of the employee to meet the production and other expectations of his/her job.
Attendance at Union Meetings. Graveyard and swing shift custodians shall be allowed to leave their buildings to attend Union meetings, provided the work is completed and the time absent is made up.
