Cafeteria Personnel. 1. Includes all bargaining unit members who are employed as Kitchen Managers, Assistant Cooks, Cashiers and Lunchrooms Assistants. 2. When a cafeteria bargaining unit member is absent, the most senior bargaining unit member in the next lower classification at that site shall be permitted to move up to the higher position for the duration of the absence and be paid the rate of the higher position at the replacement bargaining unit member’s step of the salary schedule. 3. Cafeteria personnel shall be provided a uniform allowance as outlined in Article XXVI. 4. When a kitchen is being used by a group or individual outside of the School Nutrition Services, a School Nutrition bargaining unit member must be present if any kitchen power equipment or steam tables are being used. If equipment is not being used, but the serving line is being used, it is up to the discretion of the School Nutrition Services Director whether a bargaining unit member needs to be present.
Cafeteria Personnel. The prevailing daily and weekly work schedule for cafeteria personnel shall be continued as presently practiced.

Cafeteria Personnel. (a) Full-time cafeteria employment and Head Cook shall be thirty-five (35) hours each week including a paid lunch period each day that is the same as the Education Association. Provided that the person currently holding the position of Head Cook shall remain at full-time status at thirty (30) hours per week until her separation from employment at that position.
Cafeteria Personnel. A. Cafeteria employees will be provided with "uniform/scrubs” each year chosen jointly by the manager and the employees. Proper closed shoes shall be worn by each employee. All employees are required to wear plastic gloves, hair nets, and proper shoes while serving food. All employees shall be required to follow state mandated rules for personal appearance. B. When a regular employee is off on a scheduled leave (sick, personal, etc.) a short hour employee who is qualified shall replace the employee with more hours based on seniority. A response time of 20 minutes shall be permitted before proceeding to call the next employee provided that the employee calling off has done so by 4:30 a.m. If the employee does not call off by 4:30 a.m., the cafeteria manager will begin calling to replace the employee based on seniority, but will not be required to wait for a response before making the next call. Every effort will be made to provide a substitute for all vacancies to include the same hours worked by the regular employee. Upon request verification of effort will be provided. C. Employees shall receive one to two additional hours of pay for work done on days when extra cooking is done for senior citizens or other outside groups following the regular school lunch program. One hour shall be paid for less than 50 people; two hours shall be paid for more than 50 people provided there is no expense to the Board. D. There shall be no major custodial cleaning done at any time while there is cooking and serving to be done in the cafeteria except in an emergency. E. Extra hours shall be given to regular employees who work short hours to assist where needed, either earlier or during the work day. F. When the kitchen manager is off on a scheduled leave(s), (sick, personal, etc.), the xxxx shall take over the running of the kitchen and receive eight hours.
Cafeteria Personnel. Cafeteria personnel who work outside their normal day or during vacation periods will be reimbursed at their regular hourly rate.

Cafeteria Personnel. A. Cafeteria employees who work short hours shall be afforded the opportunity to work for a cafeteria employee in the same building of assignment who works more hours and a substitute will be called for the employee who temporarily works more hours. B. Employees with dual contracts must be able to work the total hours of both contracts in order to change assignments according to this provision, unless no other replacements can be found. (Dual contracts will not be permitted effective with the beginning of this Agreement with the exception of the two employees with dual contracts as of that date.) C. Whenever possible, cafeteria employees shall be notified thirty (30) days prior to the opening of school if there is any change in their assignment.
Cafeteria Personnel. 1. When a school kitchen is being used by any group, other than Madison Bingo, Inc. (Madison Boosters Club, Inc.), and Madison Athletic Service Club, a cafeteria employee will be present to supervise. The employee shall be paid his standard overtime rate for these hours. 2. Food for programs outside the regular food service program (i.e., school lunch and breakfast, Latchkey) shall be prepared during the employee's regular work day, when possible. Additional time may be granted to complete preparations or for other reasons with prior approval of the Superintendent or designee.
