Changes in Work Schedule. 24.01 In order that it may make representation the Union shall be notified of any proposed permanent changes in the work schedule, except in emergencies.
Changes in Work Schedule. The parties hereto acknowledge that employees covered by this Agreement currently work only day shifts. In the event any Department determines to establish swing and/or graveyard shifts, which would affect the conditions of employment of employees covered by this Agreement, such Department shall, prior to establishing such shift(s), meet and confer in good faith with Sheet Metal Workers Local 104, in an attempt to reach a departmental memorandum of understanding authorized by Charter Section A8.409-3 regarding the following subjects:
1. Shift scheduling
2. Shift bidding procedures
Changes in Work Schedule. (a) Changes in Employees' Day or Days Off - The posting of the nine (9) day schedule referred to in Section 8.2 shall freeze the employees' days off for the following nine (9) day period.
(b) Work on Scheduled Day Off - An employee may be required to work on a scheduled day off. Seventy-two (72) hours' notice prior to 12:01 A.M. of the scheduled day off must be given, except if less notice is given a Twenty-One Dollar ($21.00) penalty shall be paid. Except as provided in the following paragraph, in the event that such notice is given within such seventy-two (72) hour period, at least eight (8) hours must elapse between the end of the employee's previous tour and the start of a tour on any originally scheduled day off. If less than eight (8) hours elapse and the employee agrees to work, then the elapsed time will be paid for as time worked and all hours will be paid for as one (1) continuous tour. In the event that the Company notifies an employee to report for work on a scheduled day off and then cancels such tour less than seventy-two (72) hours but more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled starting time of work on such day off, the employee shall be paid a penalty of Thirty-Six Dollars ($36.00); however, such employee shall be paid for such tour if (i) after such cancellation, he or she is again notified to report for work on such scheduled day off and the employee's tour is again canceled, or (ii) the Company cancels such tour upon less than such twenty-four (24) hours' notice.
(c) (i) Daily Schedule Changes - Notice of daily schedule changes affecting starting time shall be given no later than 7:00 PM of the second (2nd) day prior to the day in question. If schedule changes are desired thereafter, such changes can only be made by adding work time to the previously scheduled hours at overtime rates as specified in Section 8.5. The previous sentence, however, shall not apply where notice of a daily schedule change affecting starting time is given after 7:00 PM of the second (2nd) day prior to the day in question and the schedule change does not alter the employee’s starting time by more than two (2) hours.
Changes in Work Schedule. The implementation of termination of twelve (12) hour shift schedules will not result in the payment of overtime hours or any other premiums which would otherwise be applicable.
Changes in Work Schedule. The employer will notify affected employees, in writing (with a copy of said notice sent to the bargaining unit President), of any changes in their work day or work week no less than seven (7) days in advance of the effective date of the scheduled change. The foregoing shall not be utilized for punitive purposes and shall respect seniority where two or more employees have the same title. Under normal circumstances, temporary personnel shall not displace permanent non- competitive employees on their shifts or assignments. Generally, such displacement shall not continue beyond two months from date of reassignment.
Changes in Work Schedule. Established regular work schedules will not be changed with less than ten (10) working days advance notice, unless the operating needs of the County require it or an employee voluntarily agrees to the change and an earlier implementation date.
Changes in Work Schedule. Should an employee's work schedule be changed, the supervisor and/or District shall notify CSEA and the employee, in writing, five (5) business days before said change, except that ten (10) business days notice shall be required where the work schedule change is anticipated, or reasonably should be anticipated, by the supervisor sufficiently in advance to allow the additional notice. Should the District contemplate a permanent change in an employee's work schedule, the District shall notify CSEA and the employee, in writing, twenty (20) business days before the proposed change. These notice requirements may be waived with the concurrence of the employee and CSEA. The District retains the sole right to set work schedules.
7.3.1 Any change in work schedule within a single classification, within a department, shall be done on the basis of District seniority, with the most senior employee having the first option to accept or decline, and so on down the seniority list until the shift opening is filled. If none of the employees within the classification agrees to work the schedule, the employee with the least District seniority shall be assigned.
Changes in Work Schedule a) Changes in duties or work assignment that do not require a change in shift or days off may be made as needed. If such reassignments are made on a temporary basis, the length of the temporary assignment will not exceed ninety (90) days unless approved by the Chief Administrative Officer.
Changes in Work Schedule. The employer will notify affected employees, in writing (with a copy of said notice sent to the Union representative), of any permanent changes in their work day or work week no less than ten
Changes in Work Schedule. Should it be necessary, in the City's judgment, to restructure the work schedule of an employee or employees, the City will give, absent emergency circumstances, at least two (2) weeks’ advance notice of such change to all employees affected by such change. Within said two (2) weeks, the City will meet with the Union, if requested, to discuss any such change. The parties recognize that the normal work schedule of an employee assigned as a detective necessarily varies depending on the needs of the Department and that from time to time it will be necessary to make changes with very little, if any, advance notice.
