Civic Holidays. The Western Fair Association observes Civic Holiday as statutory holiday. Family Day is included as a paid Holiday. All employees are entitled to paid statutory holidays. Statutory holiday is calculated at the regular pay rate.
Civic Holidays. Any Civic holiday, full or half day proclaimed under the Government Act by the local authorities of any city, town or village to meet local conditions for the purpose of allowing citizens to participate in fairs, exhibitions, etc. will be given immediate consideration by the Company upon of the Requests for recognition of the proclamation should be forwarded through the Heads to Relations for submission to the Company for consideration as to whether a holiday shall or shall not be ARTICLE HOLIDAY PAYMENTS A Company holiday shall have the effect of reducing the calendar work week by one (1) day on the occurrence of one (1) holiday or two (2) on the of two (2) holidays. An employee not scheduled to work on a Company holiday shall receive his basic rate of pay for that day, except when he absent from work without the approval of Management (non-approved furlough) on either his last work tour preceding and/or on his working tour following a holiday. (For the purpose of this clause, approved sick absence or furlough is considered absence with consent). An employee scheduled and who works on a Company holiday shall be paid two (2) times his basic rate of pay in addition to his regular basic of pay for that day. An employee called in to work shall be paid in with the overtime regulations. No deduction shall be made in the pay of any regular employee for a holiday not waked except in the case of an employee on furlough without pay. When a holiday occurs at the beginning or end of a furlough period, the employee must notify his immediate of his availability work on that day to be paid for same.
Civic Holidays. Any employee whose normal day off falls on a Company approved Civic holiday, will receive equivalent time off later. Employees scheduled to work on a Civic holiday shall be granted equivalent off with pay at a later date. If at the discretion of the immediate such time off cannot be granted, the employee shall be paid double his basic rase of pay for that shall not be paid. Employees not scheduled to work on a Civic holiday who are called out to work on a holiday will receive payment in addition to their basic rate of pay. When a Civic holiday occurs during a vacation or sickness absence period, no additional time will be allowed. Should the Civic holiday be the Monday of August and it occurs during a vacation one additional day will be allowed. The foregoing will also apply in locations which proclaim an alternate day in lieu of the Monday of Civic holidays for travelling employees will be those declared at their headquarters. ARTICLE ANNUAL VACATIONS Annual vacation credits for all employees will be computed from the beginning of the vacation year May Vacation Credit Date an employee engaged on or before the fifteenth day of any month shall be given vacation credits from the first day of the month. An employee engaged on or the sixteenth day of any month shall be given vacation credits from the day of the following month. This focalized vacation credit shall apply in the year of service and in each continuing year thereafter. An employee who has completed the required continuous years of service as of April in any year shall be vacation credits at his basic rate of pay as provided herein. AS OF APRIL VACATION Less than One and one quarter (1 one year days of vacation for each full month of service completed One (1) year (Effective May 1992) weeks NSiixnteee(9n)(1y6ea)rysears weeks Twenty-five weeks VACATION WAGE ADVANCE: An employee may request his basic wages in advance for the regular payroll which terminate during his vacation. Such request shall be made verbally to the appropriate payroll contact by the Supervisor (or an appointed representative) not less than ten (10) days prior to the date the advance is by the employee.
Civic Holidays. (a) Any full or half-day Civic Holiday proclaimed under the Municipal Government Act by the local authorities of any city, town or village will be given immediate consideration by the Company upon receipt of the official proclamation. Proclamations should be forwarded to the Vice-President, Human Resources for consideration.
Civic Holidays. Employees will be granted leave with pay on any day proclaimed as a Civic Holiday within the municipality, provided the work day before and after the holiday has been worked.
