4.2 It is understood that it is not necessary to have each of the above classifications in each work center.
4.3 The parties agree that full and economic utilization of employees during their working hours is absolutely imperative if the Company is to effectively compete in the deregulated airline industry. Employees will participate in cross utilization by accepting work assignments in lateral or lower classifications under this agreement, and the provisions of this Agreement are to be so interpreted and applied. The Company will not arbitrarily use this provision to eliminate a classification. It is understood that any employee covered by this Agreement may be required to do the work of such lateral or lower classification provided, however, that when performing such work, for which he has been trained and qualified to perform he will be paid at the rate he is regularly classified. Any employee hereunder assigned by the Company to perform the duties and accept the responsibilities of a higher classification of work shall be paid the minimum established rate for said classification for the time so worked, but in no event will he be paid less than twenty-five cents (25¢) per hour above the rate he was earning immediately prior to such temporary upgrading.
CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK. 5 The work of a vehicle mechanic shall consist of any and all work generally recognized as mechanic’s 7 persons authorized by owners to contract the work of the Company, whether in company shops, 8 buildings or not. Xxxxxxxx’s work includes but is not limited to, the dismantling, repairing, painting, 9 repairing, fabricating and erecting of machinery, mechanical devices, automotive equipment, and 10 building maintenance. Building maintenance shall include maintaining, repairing, altering and 11 construction of building and equipment including such work as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, 12 electrical, maintain fire equipment and repair work.) A mechanic may be required to give “on the job” 13 instruction to an employee of the same classification. A Vehicle Mechanic must possess a valid driver’s 14 license and is responsible to report to the Company whenever he/she does not hold a valid driver’s 15 license.
16 X. Xxxxxx: 17 Under a minimum of guidance, direction and instruction from supervision, lead and other experienced 18 personnel will receive, store, transfer and dispense petroleum products in accordance with established 19 procedures and quality control; perform preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment and 20 systems; and, as required, perform any ground handling operations associated with customer aircraft 21 operations. As directed by supervision, will provide instruction, guidance and assistance to employees 22 in lower rated classifications. Work performed shall consist of, but not limited to, receive, store, 23 transfer and dispense petroleum products at all storage facilities in accordance with established 24 procedures and quality controls; perform fueling operations on assigned aircraft in accordance with 25 established procedures, methods and operations policies exercising established quality control and 26 safety guidelines; procure daily, weekly and monthly petroleum product inventories as required.
CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK. A. Low:
1. Low Exterior and Interior Window Cleaning: All exterior window cleaning less than thirty-two (32) feet above ground, including with the use of a ladder or pole less than thirty-two (32) feet above ground. This classification of work does not include the use of mechanical or motor driven lift equipment. All interior window cleaning. Any entryway glass, door glass, partition glass, and re-lite glass while using the tools of the trade (e.g. a ladder over six (6) feet or a squeegee over twelve (12") inches.)
B. High:
1. High Exterior Window Cleaning: All exterior glass cleaning more than thirty-two (32) feet above ground. This classification of work does include the use of mechanical or motor driven lift equipment.
C. Foreperson: Forepersons may be involved in training, quality control, and communication with building management. Forepersons must regularly work with the tools of the trade. No portion of this sub-section will override any aspect of the Apprenticeship Program as defined in Article VII, Section 11.

CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK. A. While an employee’s job classification sets out the duties normally associated with the job, as the needs of the Company may dictate, an employee may be assigned or reassigned to perform or assist in job duties normally associated with another lower classification. When working in a lower classification no employee will receive a reduction in pay. Further, all employees are expected to perform, as needed, those routine duties associated with maintaining the workplace in a safe, clean, and operative condition. Employees will not be assigned to other job duties for punitive reasons.
B. For purposes throughout this Agreement, the descending order of classification shall be as follows:

CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK. The number of employees in each classification will be established by the Company in accordance with the normal requirements and needs of the service. The two classifications of employees will be Flight Attendants and International Service Managers.
A. Flight Attendant
CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK. The work of a Lead Mechanic shall consist of and include the leading and directing of the mechanic and lower classifications. He may also do the work of mechanic if it is required of him. He must hold valid federal and state licenses or certificates as may be required of his assignment He may be required to sign for the work of others in his working group, but this shall not relieve that other member of his group of his responsibility for the work performed. He may be required to give "on the job" training and instruction to employees of any classification except inspectors. He shall not lead and direct more than seven (7) employees.
CLASSIFICATIONS OF WORK a) Classifications will be in accordance with Appendix II.
b) During the term of this agreement, if the Company establishes any additional positions or job classifications that are not specified in appendix I and II and come within the scope of this collective agreement, then the company and Union will mutually agree on the new rates for this classification.
