Communications with Employees. Absent prior approval from their supervisors, employees who wish to discuss a matter with a Union officer or xxxxxxx in a manner that will require more than de minimis time away from work are expected to do so during break time, a meal period, or outside of work hours. Union officers and stewards are expected to remind employees of this obligation.

Communications with Employees. Prior to the Closing Date, the Company shall not communicate (and the Company shall ensure that no Acquired Company and no Representative of any Acquired Company communicates) with Company Employees regarding post-Closing employment matters with Parent, the Surviving Corporation or any other Subsidiary or Affiliate of Parent, including post-Closing employee benefit plans and compensation, without the prior written approval of Parent.
Communications with Employees. Representatives of the BCEA may communicate with individual employees during the individual employee's work breaks or lunch period. The conduct of such business shall be such as not to interfere with the individual employee's contractual duties. The BCEA representative must check in with the employee's immediate Supervisor or Building Principal upon entering the building in order to identify himself and to make arrangements to communicate with a particular employee. If such representative(s) is an employee of the BOARD on duty time, then liaison days as described in Section 5.07 below shall be used.

The Union may distribute materials to unit employees through County mail distribution channels if approved by the HRD Director. This privilege may be revoked in the event of abuse after the Director consults with Union representatives. Any Union representative shall give the Department Head or his/her representative at least twenty-four hours advance notice when contacting department employees during the duty period of the employees, provided that solicitation for membership and other internal union business shall be conducted only during the non-duty hours of all employees concerned. Prearrangement for routine contact may be made by agreement between the Union and the department head and when made shall continue until revoked.
