Conceptual Design Phase Clause Samples

Conceptual Design Phase. The Design Consultant shall work with the Project Team to create a conceptual design by: June 10, 2016
Conceptual Design Phase. It is assumed that Natural Bridge Road will be closed at the structure during construction. Staged construction or a temporary bridge bypass will not be used. A signed detour using public streets will be provided to maintain vehicular traffic. Sidewalks do not extend across the existing structure therefore pedestrian access will not be maintained during construction. A. Hydraulic Analysis/Design 1. Perform a hydraulic study and analysis for the 15-, 25-, 50- and 100-year event floods for the existing, natural, and proposed conditions (various options) at the structure along Cowmire Creek. 2. Summarize hydraulic results for each option. B. Road & Structure Option Review 1. Review proposed Natural Bridge Road vertical and horizontal alignments. It is anticipated that existing horizontal and vertical alignment will be closely matched, and that replacement structure/roadway will overtop during flood events, similar to existing. 2. Review conceptual structure alignment and replacement types to include multi-cell culvert and single or multi-span solid slab concrete bridge options. Voided slab or prestressed box beam superstructures are not recommended due to overtopping conditions. Prestressed concrete or steel beam/girder and slab superstructure would require a significant increase in superstructure depth with associated grade raise. 3. Prepare limited concept drawings, as needed, to illustrate various options. C. Prepare comparative conceptual cost estimates and pros/cons for viable options. D. Perform QA/QC review of Conceptual Design information. E. Meet with the City to review conceptual options. F. Obtain City approval of preferred option before proceeding to Preliminary Design Phase.
Conceptual Design Phase. ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ will provide an initial concept plan and 65% PS&E plans with an initial Engineer’s
Conceptual Design Phase. Compensation for the Conceptual Design Phase Services (the “Conceptual Design Phase Services Cost”) shall not exceed dollars ($ ), plus Washington State sales due on this amount, and shall be paid on an hourly basis at the rates and for the individuals specified in Exhibit to this Agreement. In addition, the Construction Manager shall receive compensation for any pre- approved non-labor costs incurred to perform the Conceptual Design Phase Services, including equipment at the
Conceptual Design Phase. § 2.0.1 The Construction Manager will join the ongoing conceptual design effort and shall participate as a part of the Project Team to develop a final program, determine site usage, develop a cost model, outline an overall schedule and develop one or more concept designs to prepare for the Architect’s Schematic Design Phase.
Conceptual Design Phase. The Architect will participate with and assist the Owner and Construction Manager, as required, in developing and refining the general concept for the Project described in Article I in accordance with the Design Schedule from time to time in effect.
Conceptual Design Phase. The CONSULTANT will complete a conceptual streetscape design along the Manchester Road (Route 100) corridor as described in the above General Project Scope section. The following tasks will be performed to achieve these goals: a. Typical Sections depicting conceptual lane configurations, pedestrian facilities, and conceptual streetscape features will be developed for the following lane configuration.
Conceptual Design Phase. A. Verify Owner’s program so that Architect and Owner have a mutual understanding of the Project requirements. B. Collaborate and work with Owner to create/complete Educational Specifications for the New school facility. C. Prepare for the Owner’s use a Master Design Schedule detailing design phases through construction. D. Lead and prepare all material and submittals, including SEPA and related elements, required for the Land Use pre-Application with local jurisdiction. E. Complete Land Use Planning and permitting application process. F. Prepare a preliminary site plan utilizing the appropriate zoning ordinances, building codes and site restrictions applicable to the project. G. Provide, parking, density and other required zoning calculations. ▇. Provide conceptual site and floor plans for Owner’s review and approval. I. Provide dimensioned building plans including all non-typical floors for each building type. Include all handicap required entries, code required exits and building step downs. J. Provide preliminary finish floor elevations, step downs, walls or other preliminary notes necessary. Coordinate finish floor elevations with other Consultants. K. Provide preliminary building code review.
Conceptual Design Phase. (i) Consultant will meet with City staff during kick-off meeting to
Conceptual Design Phase. The conceptual design phase develops an engineering design at conceptual stage, and its successful conclusion will ensure that the objectives and requirements of the design are understood and that the proposed design approach will achieve its purposes. During this project phase general requirements and general interfaces must be considered by the engineering design. Schedule and Cost estimate confidence level need to be at conceptual level as well. This phase starts with the Mission Need approval (CD-0) and the Critical Decision 1 approval marks this phase completion. This phase is officially concluded for the Electron-Ion Collider Project since June 2021 with CD-1 approval.
