Crime Victims Leave. Leaves from employment for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence or stalking will be administered by the Medical Center consistent with applicable federal and state laws, including the Oregon Victims of Certain Crimes Leave Act (OVCCLA).

Crime Victims Leave. ‌ Crime Victims Leave shall be granted in accordance with State and Federal statutes. Employees may use accrued leave or take as unpaid leave. The City may limit an employee’s leave if it creates an undue hardship on the City, causing significant difficulty and expense.
Crime Victims Leave. If the employee or a member of the employee's immediate family is a victim of a serious and/or violent crime, the employee may request paid leave in order to attend interviews with law enforcement officials, trials or other court proceedings, etc. The definition of "immediate family" for purposes of this provision shall be consistent with Section 28.03 of this Agreement. The request shall be made by the employee to the Treasurer or the Director of Human Resources. The employee shall provide any and all documentation requested by the Employer related to this request. Granting of such leave is at the total discretion of the Employer. An explanation of denial shall be provided. Denial of such leave is non-grievable.
