Design Development and Construction Documents. Project management for the duration of Phase 1 • Conceptual and a significant degree of detailed design of the Facilities, including technology selection and equipment and materials specification; the Facilities design criteria shall ensure compliance with the Performance Requirements as described and identified in this Contract and Exhibit B. • Evaluation of alternatives for groundwater treatment technologies, equipment, and other elements as necessary of the Project that affect construction and life cycle costs, Contract performance, and CITY goals for the Project • Review of background and reference documents and preparation of Basis of Design Reports (“BDRs”) and other work products as defined in this Contract, with major milestones at 25%and 60-75% completion, and sufficient process and instrumentation diagrams (“P&IDs”), site plans, specifications, and other supporting documents to facilitate preparation of a Phase 2 GMP or Lump Sum Contract Price and Phase 2 Contract Time Proposal at 60-75% completion of design packages • Advising the CITY and facilitating CITY participation in all material decision making about the Facilities as such decision making may affect the Project scope and value, including CITY participation in select meetings and communicationsPreparation of the Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (“SCADA”) system and security/surveillance system design for the Facilities in conformance with the City’s SCADA system • Necessary environmental documentation for compliance with California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) requirements • Preliminary preparation of all necessary permit applications and facilitation of regulatory agency approval of all permits that are CONTRACTOR’s responsibility (CITY will sign the permit applications, furnish permit application fees, and attend permitting coordination and review meetings with regulatory agencies as necessary). Design Development and Construction Documents. CDW will prepare one (1) set of preliminary design development specifications (3 sections) and drawings related to hazardous materials for the project. CDW will prepare a preliminary construction cost estimate for identified ACM and hazardous materials. CDW will attend up to one (1) project meeting to confirm final design. For construction documents, CDW will prepare construction document technical specifications related to asbestos and universal and hazardous materials present and/or likely to be encountered during building renovations/demolition. Three technical specification sections are included (Asbestos, Universal Wastes/Hazardous Materials & LBP) for the construction document phase (60%, 90% and 100%). The preparation of detailed site plans, locational surveys, or other drawings is not included herein.
Design Development and Construction Documents. Based upon approved schematic or preliminary design Documents and any further adjustments in the scope or quality of the Project authorized by the Director, Design Development and Construction Documents services include, but are not limited to, the following: 2.2.1 Submit the Project Schedule updated to reflect firm dates for the beginning and end of each activity and the review dates within ten days of receiving the notice to proceed. 2.2.2 Prepare detailed Construction Documents based on guidelines provided by the Director. The Construction Documents must list recommended alternate bid items for the Project in a manner that permits ready evaluation and comparison. Specifications must conform to City of Houston standards. 2.2.3 Inform the Director of any adjustments to previous estimates of the Project Construction Cost which are indicated by market conditions or authorized changes in the scope and requirements of the Project. The Architect/Engineer does not guarantee that bids will not vary from the estimate. 2.2.4 Prepare and submit the required Documents to obtain approval of all governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the design or operation of the Project and all public and private utilities, including pipeline transmission and railroad companies affected by the Project; obtain the signatures of representatives of these governmental authorities and public and private utilities; obtain the signatures of City officials indicated by the City’s standard title block for drawings. 2.2.5 Design the Project in compliance with the requirements of applicable laws, codes, and regulations, including the City of Houston Building Code; make revisions to the Contract Documents necessary to provide clarifications or to correct discrepancies; and provide the Director with Documents necessary for obtaining a City building permit and other required permits for the Project. The Construction Documents must conform to applicable federal, state and City regulations. 2.2.6 Deliver to the Director: 2.2.6.1 A detailed cost estimate at the 65%, 95%, and 100% completion stages; 2.2.6.2 Copies of all reports, recommendations, analyses, specifications, plans and drawings (including working drawings); and 2.2.6.3 Construction Documents identified in this Contract. 2.2.7 Assist the City in securing bids for the construction of the Project based on the Construction Documents; attend pre-bid conferences; assist the City in evaluating the bid proposals; prepare tabulations o...

Upon the City’s issuance of a written consent to proceed for any Subproject Option, Subproject(s) or portion thereof, the Design- Builder shall prepare and submit to the City for the City’s written approval Construction Documents sufficient to construct the Subproject(s), including but not limited to Drawings and Specifications. Deviations, if any, from the Supplemental Engineering Analysis, Investigation, and Project Services or any other materials previously provided must be disclosed in writing and are subject to the approval of City. 2. Development and review of the construction documents including drawings, specifications, and any required supplementals shall at a minimum adhere to the following review milestones content requirements, pursuant to the written direction of the City: a.   • Design and Construction In complying with the requirements of the specification both with respect to arrangement and detail, design is to conform to the best current engineering practice. Each of the several parts of the material is to be of the maker’s standard design provided that this design is in general accordance with the specification. The essence of design should be simplicity and reliability in order to give long continuous service with high economy and low maintenance cost. Particular attention should be paid to internal and external access in order to facilitate inspection, cleaning and maintenance. The design dimensions and materials of all parts are to be such that they will not suffer damage as a result of stresses under the most severe conditions. Fully detailed specifications of the several parts of the material are to be submitted describing particularly the materials to be used. The materials used in the construction of the material are to be of the highest quality and selected particularly to meet the duties required of them. Mechanisms are to be constructed to avoid sticking due to rust or corrosion. Workmanship and general finish are to be of the highest class throughout. All similar parts of the material are to be interchangeable. All equipment is to operate without undue vibration and with the least possible amount of noise and is not to cause a nuisance. All equipment is to be designed to minimize the risk of fire and any damage, which may be caused in the event of fire. The equipment is also to be designed to prevent ingress of all vermin, accidental contact with live parts and to minimize the ingress of dust and dirt. The use of materials, which may be liable to attack by termites or other insects, is to be avoided.

  • Project Construction The Contractor agrees to provide continuous on-site supervision on each Job Order, while progress on the project is being accomplished. The Contractor’s Project Manager will ensure: 1. Coordination and providing supervision to all Subcontractor and workers; 2. Posting of the prevailing wage scale; 3. Maintaining a copy of the Contractors safety program manual made available to all construction personnel; 4. Conducting weekly on-site safety meetings; 5. Completing the daily labor and construction progress log on a daily basis and submit copies to the County on a daily basis. Copies of the previous day’s reports must be submitted by 9:00AM of the following day. a. Daily labor log is to include a listing of Subcontractor(s) and a count of workers by trade providing services for the day. b. Construction progress log is to include a narrative of the Work provided by trade(s). Narrative agrees to include the various areas of the jobsite where Work was performed and any problems or conditions that were encountered. c. In the event the Contractor fails to provide a daily log and/or construction progress log, the County may impose damages against the Contractor in the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each log and deduct from the Contractor’s payment request, for each day the Contractor does not provide the documentation. 6. County may suspend Contractor operations if no Contractor Superintendent is observed. All delays caused by the suspension will be the responsibility of the Contractor. No time extension or claims for cost(s) associated with the suspension will be granted by the County.

  • Construction Documents The architectural and engineering documents setting forth the design for the Project prepared by the Design Professional.   • Interconnection Facilities Engineering Procurement and Construction Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, and Distribution Upgrades shall be studied, designed, and constructed pursuant to Good Utility Practice. Such studies, design and construction shall be based on the assumed accuracy and completeness of all technical information received by the Participating TO and the CAISO from the Interconnection Customer associated with interconnecting the Large Generating Facility.

  • Construction Document Phase 1.4.1 Based on the approved Design Development Documents, Guaranteed Maximum Price, coordinated models and any further adjustments in the scope or quality of the Project or in the Amount Available for the Construction Contract authorized by the Owner, the Architect/Engineer shall prepare, for approval by the Owner and review by the Construction Manager, Construction Documents consisting of Drawings, Schedules and Specifications derived from the model(s) in accordance with Owner’s written requirements setting forth in detail the requirements for construction of the Project, including, without limitation, the BIM Execution Plan and “Facility Design Guidelines”. The Plans, Drawings and Specifications for the entire Project shall be so prepared that same will call for the construction of the building and related facilities, together with its built-in permanent fixtures and equipment which will cost not more than the Guaranteed Maximum Price accepted by Owner, or the Amount Available for the Construction Contract established by Owner if no Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal has been accepted by Owner. The Architect/Engineer will be responsible for managing the design to stay within such Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal or Amount Available for the Construction Contract. The Architect/Engineer shall review the Construction Documents as they are being prepared at intervals appropriate to the progress of the Project with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project site or other location specified by Owner in the State of Texas. The Architect/Engineer shall utilize the model(s) to support the review process during Construction Documents. The Architect/Engineer shall provide the Construction Manager with a compact disc containing documents and data files derived from the model to assist the Construction Manager in fulfilling its responsibilities to the Owner. 1.4.2 As a part of Construction Documents Phase, Architect/Engineer shall accomplish model coordination, aggregation and “clash detection” to remove conflicts in design between systems, structures and components. Architect/Engineer shall demonstrate and provide written assurance to Owner that all conflicts/collisions between models have been resolved. 1.4.3 The Architect/Engineer shall consult with the Owner and Construction Manager on matters such as construction phasing and scheduling, bid or proposal alternates, liquidated damages, the construction contract time period, and other construction issues appropriate for the Project. The Architect/Engineer shall assist the Owner and Construction Manager in the preparation of the necessary bidding information, bidding forms, RFP information, and RFP forms, and the Conditions of the Contract. 1.4.4 The Architect/Engineer shall assist the Owner in connection with the Owner’s responsibility and procedures for obtaining approval of all building and accessibility authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. 1.4.5 The Architect/Engineer shall provide coordination and inclusion of sequence of operations for all operable systems in the facility as defined by Owner during Design Development. 1.4.6 The Architect/Engineer shall review the Estimated Construction Cost prepared by the Construction Manager, and shall provide written comments. 1.4.7 The Architect/Engineer shall participate in a final review of the Construction Documents and model(s) with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project location or other location specified by Owner in the State of Texas. Prior to the Owner’s approval of the Construction Documents, the Architect/Engineer shall incorporate such changes as are necessary to satisfy the Owner’s review comments. 1.4.8 Before proceeding into the Bidding and Proposal Phase, the Architect/Engineer shall obtain Owner’s written acceptance of the Construction Documents and approval of the Final Amount Available for the Construction Contract as approved by the Board of Regents.

  • Complete Agreement; Construction This Agreement, including the Schedules hereto, shall constitute the entire agreement between the Parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and shall supersede all previous negotiations, commitments and writings with respect to such subject matter. In the event of any inconsistency between this Agreement and any Schedule, the Schedule shall prevail. The rights and remedies of the Parties herein provided shall be cumulative and in addition to any other or further remedies provided by law or equity.

  • Contract Construction 6.27.1 The parties acknowledge that each party and its counsel have reviewed this CONTRACT and that the normal rule of construction to the effect that any ambiguities are to be resolved against the drafting party shall not be employed in the interpretation of this CONTRACT or any amendment or exhibits hereto.
