Effective July 1, 2018. (a) A scale increase of 1.25% will be applied to the maxima and minima salaries and to each salary referenced at each step on the current salary grid.
(b) Each employee, except an employee whose salary at June 30, 2018 was at or above the maximum for her/his grade, will be moved up to the next step within her/his grade.
Effective July 1, 2018. The University will increase the individual 2018-2019 base salaries of all full- and part-time employees covered by this Agreement by one percent (1%).
Effective July 1, 2018 regular part-time employees that average a minimum of twenty hours (22) hours per week per year and have 1 year of continuous service with a minimum total of 1,144 hours worked, shall be awarded vacation time as long as they remain eligible (average 22 hours of work per week) based on length of service as follows:
Effective July 1, 2018 tuition reimbursement shall be limited to a maximum of eight hundred dollars ($800) for any individual employee during any twelve (12) month period.
Effective July 1, 2018. 23.3.1 The salary schedule will be increased by five (5) percent;
Effective July 1, 2018. The number of days for teachers shall be 183, with the day before the opening of school counted as a day. Teachers shall attend two (2) professional development days per year. Professional development days shall not be scheduled as the first day of the work year or the last day of the work year. The Association and Committee agree to convene a joint labor management committee which shall provide recommendations on the scheduling and content of the above professional development days. The committee will develop a mutually agreed upon professional development survey which will be distributed to all staff. Administration will use the results of this survey to provide a reasonable amount of professional development offerings during the four (4) district-based sessions directed by the superintendent or his/her designed under Section K of this Article. The results of this survey will also be taken into consideration when scheduling other professional development opportunities throughout the year. The work year of teachers (except new personnel who may be required to attend additional orientation or induction sessions) will begin no earlier than August 27th and terminate no later than June 30th. The Friday before Labor Day shall not be a work day. New personnel may be required to attend up to twelve (12) hours of induction sessions. New personnel who attend any required induction sessions shall be paid for up to twelve (12) hours of attendance at such sessions at the hourly rate set forth in Appendix A.IX. Tutoring of this Agreement.
Effective July 1, 2018. The Committee and the Association recognize that a teacher's responsibility to his/her students and his/her profession generally entails the performance of duties and expenditure of time beyond the regular workday, but that time and work schedules should be established which are applicable to teachers in the normal course of their employment.
Effective July 1, 2018. The work year for academic coaches shall not extend beyond that which is required of teachers in Paragraph B.1. of Article VI of this Agreement. Academic coaches may be required to work no more than ten (10) days outside said work year. Additional days beyond the work year shall be paid at the academic coach’s per diem rate and are to be scheduled by mutual agreement with his/her supervisor. Academic coaches may work a different daily schedule than the regularly schedule teacher work day. However, they shall not be required to extend their total daily hours more than what is required in Article VI of this Agreement. The academic coaches shall be notified of their daily schedule within thirty (30) days of the first day of school. The academic coaches may need to visit different schools to attend the up to twenty-five (25) staff meetings per year. They shall be given a schedule at the start of the school year of which school’s meetings they are to attend. If there is to be a change in the published schedule, the academic coach will be given at least two weeks’ notice. Academic coaches assigned to more than one building shall be informed by their supervisor of which building’s evening function they are to attend.
Effective July 1, 2018. The HDHP shall have a $2,000 single, $4,000 single +1 or $4,000 family deductible for in-network services. Prescription drugs are covered as part of the program and are subject to the deductible. Once the deductible is met, in-network coinsurance will be 100% for covered services, except for prescriptions. Prescriptions will be subject to co-payments. Upon satisfaction of the HDHP deductible, prescriptions subject to a managed three tier drug rider with co-pays of $10 Generic/ $25 Brand Name/ $40 Non Formulary Brand Name co-pay (unlimited maximum) (2x retail co-payment for 90-day supply). Prescription co-pays are subject to a maximum of $1,000 for single coverage and $2,000 single +1 or family coverage. Out of network medical services will be subject to an 80% plan / 20% member coinsurance to a maximum of $2,000 for the individual and $4,000 for the family. The combined in-and-out-of-network out-of-pocket maximum for these services is $4,000 for the individual and $8,000 for the family. Prescription drug co-pays are subject to a separate maximum of $1,000 for the individual and $2,000 for the family. The co-pays for drugs shall not apply to prescriptions under either the Women’s Health and Wellness Act or for diabetes Infertility benefits are subject to the state mandate limits
Effective July 1, 2018 the workweek will be forty (40) hours. Employees who work the night shift, begin at 2:00 p.m. or later. All shifts shall be 8 hours, exclusive of a duty free 30 minute lunch. All work over forty (40) hours in a week shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) on the basis of yearly hourly wage. A work week shall begin on Monday. Employees shall be allowed a minimum of two (2) hours on callback at time and one-half (1 1/2).
