Entitlement to Holiday Pay. An employee must work his/her regularly scheduled work day immediately before and after the holiday in order to receive holiday pay, unless the employee is unable to do so on account of bona fide illness or unless the absence has been expressly approved by the District. If an em‐ ployee works on a holiday, the employee will receive regular pay for that day plus the choice of overtime at time and one half the employee’s regular pay or compensatory time off at one and one half time for the hours worked on the holiday. Holiday During Vacation If a holiday falls on an employee’s scheduled vacation day, the employee will use holiday pay instead of vacation pay.

Entitlement to Holiday Pay. Full-time employees who have been employed by the 6 City thirty (30) days immediately preceding said holiday shall receive, as holiday pay, his/her 7 normal wages based upon an eight (8) hour workday.
Entitlement to Holiday Pay. In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must have worked his or her regularly scheduled shift preceding and following the holiday unless the employee is on a paid leave of absence which has been approved by the Employer, or on a legitimate sick leave or vacation. An employee who is required to work on any of the above designated holidays will be paid at; a. their regular hourly pay times one and a half (x1.5) their regular rate of pay for the number of hours worked on the holiday and receive holiday pay for the day, or b. Their regular hourly pay for each hour worked on the holiday plus a substitute paid day off with holiday pay (i.e. lieu day). Note: Lieu days must be taken within sixty (60) days of the holiday. Where any of the designated holidays fall on a full-time employee`s scheduled day off, the employee shall receive holiday pay, as defined in the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000. Holiday pay for part-time employees will be computed on the basis of the number of hours the employee was paid in the four (4) weeks preceding the week of the holiday, including vacation pay, divided by twenty (20).

(d) Where any of the designated holidays fall on a full-time employeeís scheduled day off, the employee shall receive another day off with pay within two (2) weeks of the paid holiday at a time mutually agreed upon between the Employer and the employee or one dayís pay.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work. B. On each of the holidays designated above, each part-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee’s basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Entitlement to Annual Leave For each year of service with the Employer a full-time or part-time Employee is entitled to four (4) weeks of paid annual leave.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Entitlement to Leave An employee shall be granted Workers' Compensation leave with pay in the event that the Workers' Compensation Board (WorkSafe BC) determines that the employee has established a claim (time loss benefits) and they are unable to perform their duties by reason of the compensable injury which occurred while employed by the Employer. For the purposes of this clause, pay is defined as the employee's regular take-home wages to ensure that the non-taxable status of Workers' Compensation benefits does not provide an opportunity for an injured worker to earn more while on claim than if they were working. The term claim will not include any form of WCB allowance or pension, and this section will not be operative while an employee is receiving such a different form of payment from WCB arising from this claim.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday: A. A Full-Time or Part-Time Nurse who is regularly scheduled to work on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay; or B. A Nurse who works overtime (as defined in Article 7.07) on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay for the overtime worked.

  • Eligibility for Holiday Pay A. An employee must be paid for all or a portion of both the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately prior to a holiday and the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately after that holiday in order to receive holiday pay. With County approval, compensatory time earned for working on a holiday or for a holiday falling on a regularly scheduled day off may be taken on the first scheduled working day after the holiday. B. A new employee whose first working day is the day after a holiday shall not be paid for that holiday. C. An employee who elects paid County retirement on a holiday shall be paid for the holiday. D. An employee who is terminating employment for reasons other than paid County retirement and whose last day as a paid employee is the day before a holiday shall not be paid for that holiday. E. Only regular, limited-term and probationary employees shall be eligible for holiday pay.

  • Payment of Annual Leave Upon resignation, retirement, or dismissal of any employee in the bargaining unit, he/she shall receive a sum equal to the number of days of annual leave remaining to his/her credit, provided that any or all amounts may be applied to offset any amounts owed the state by the employee. In the event of death of an employee while in the bargaining unit, a sum equal to the number of days annual leave remaining shall be paid to his/her estate.

  • Holiday Compensation Compensation for each paid holiday day not taken out is 4.6 % of the current monthly salary and holiday supplement according to 9.4.1 and 9.4.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate. 5.3.2 Additional holidays recognized in the Construction Industry in each geographical area will be observed on all work covered by this Appendix.
