Full-time Union President. At the request of the union, the Region will grant the union president full-time off from his/her regular duties without loss of pay, benefits or seniority to deal solely with union matters for the duration of his/her term in office. The union agrees to reimburse the Region on a yearly basis for the salary of the full-time president. On the completion of his/her term of office, the president shall be returned to the position held prior to the leave of absence.

Full-time Union President. The Employer, in the interest of maintaining and promoting positive labour relations between the Parties, shall provide paid time to the President of Local 1019 in the amount of two hundred and eighty-eight (288) hours yearly. This paid time shall include all normal wages, benefits and benefit premiums to or on behalf of the President of Local 1019 to allow the President of Local 1019 to represent the members of the bargaining unit. During such position the President shall continue to accrue service and seniority and is entitled to all applicable provisions within this Collective Agreement.
Full-time Union President. The parties to the Collective Agreement have agreed that the following shall apply effective the beginning of the pay period immediately following final The President of Local shall be a full-time officer of the Union and shall be paid at his basic rate of pay and benefits during his term of office. The President shall conduct negotiations, grievances and other Union business with the City without loss of pay. The City shall cover these wage and benefit costs. The President shall also conduct Union business where no City Representative is present without loss of pay. The City shall pay his regular wages and bill the Union for these wages plus the appropriate pro-rated costs for benefits. The City and the Union shall share the cost equally for all paid leaves by the President. Such amount of wages plus the appropriate pro-rated costs for benefits shall be billed to the Union on an annual basis. The President shall take responsibility for keeping his knowledge, skills and training requirements current for his home position during his term of office. The home department shall forward to the President the schedule for in- house training and/or any changes in the level of qualifications that are required for that position. However, should the parties decide that the President does not need to keep current with certain requirements of his home position, the President shall be allowed sufficient time upon the expiry of his term should it be necessary to complete the training necessary to return to his home position. The President, if a successful candidate for a permanent position in a posting, shall step down as President at which time the Union shall appoint a successor. The President shall return to his home position, or an alternative position mutually agreed to by the parties, upon termination of his term of office and any subsequent employees affected shall also revert to their home positions. It is understood that this Letter of Agreement satisfies the provisions of Article of the Collective Agreement.
Full-time Union President. The Hospital shall grant leave with pay to the President of CUPE Local 1974 (or his/her designate) for time equivalent to eight days per calendar month for the purpose of conducting hospital/Union business that the Employer normally compensates under the Collective Agreement. Such leave shall be without loss of seniority or benefits.

  • Full-Time Only During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38-hours per week.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.
