For Part-Time Employees. Any employee scheduled to work less than the full-time work week and two-fifths or more time for the job classification may, at the discretion of the Agency/Department Head be included in a vacation scheduling unit with full-time employees in the same job classification, and in such cases both the full-time and the less than full-time employees shall have conflicting requests resolved according to the procedure indicated herein.
For Part-Time Employees a. For part-time employees, the compensation for holidays not worked shall be at straight time, prorated each pay period in which a holiday occurs, based upon a proration of the hours which would have been worked within the pay period, but for the holiday, to the normal full- time period for the job classification. Such an employee may, in writing, with a minimum of seven calendar days notice to his/her Agency/Department Head elect to use accrued vacation and/or compensatory time off to replace a decrease experienced in the employee’s regular biweekly salary due to a prorated holiday.
b. Less than full-time employees shall be compensated for hours worked on holidays defined herein at the normal hourly rate.
For Part-Time Employees. Such employees shall be entitled on an optional basis to participate in the Major Medical Insurance plan (para. 20.01 (d)) only.
For Part-Time Employees. The regular work day and work week shall be as defined in the posting for the position which is currently held, taking into account any amendments which may occur or may have occurred in accordance with (e) below.
For Part-Time Employees. For the purpose of this article, a lay off occurs when employee does not receive the minimum scheduled hours as provided in Article 10.11a), or where the Employer becomes aware that it will be unable to provide the minimum scheduled hours of work. In the event that the Employer becomes aware that it will be unable to provide the minimum scheduled hours, they will notify the Union to discuss the reasons, the individuals affected and alternatives to this reduction in hours.
For Part-Time Employees. An employee shall automatically progress to the next step on the salary scale for classification after completing sixteen hundred and sixty hours in a classification belonging to Category 'A' or eighteen hundred and twenty-five hours in a classification belonging to Category
For Part-Time Employees. Each part-time employee will become eligible for the following schedule of benefits on the first day of the month following completion of six (6) continuous months of employment: Accident & Sickness Weekly Benefit— Sixty- six and two-thirds (66 2 /3 ’s) per cent of his average straight-time weekly pay based on his last available quarter, with a minimum of Ten Dollars ($10) per week and a maximum of Seventy Dollars ($70) per week. A seven day week will be used in computing both the wait ing period and benefit payments. Benefits will be payable on the first day of an accident (non- occupational) and the fourth day in the event of sickness, for a maximum of thirteen (13) weeks per disability. A quarter shall consist of three consecutive calendar months beginning with January, April, July or October.
For Part-Time Employees. If a part time employee elects to participate in the pension plan after fulfilling all eligibility requirements to participate in the pension plan, the percentage in lieu of benefits paid to part time employees who are in the pension plan will be reduced by the amount of the Employer's premium as determined from time to time, by "The Hospital's of Ontario Pension Plan".
For Part-Time Employees. Effective June 1, 2004 – Seniority Employees with five (5) to ten (10) years of continuous service – an additional three (3) cents per hour worked. The total accumulated amount following this increase is six ($0.06) cents per hour worked.
For Part-Time Employees the Employer shall continue its current practise to consider requests for reimbursement on a case by case basis.
