Holidays – Part-Time Employees. Permanent, part-time employees are entitled to observe a holiday (day off work) in the same ratio as the number of hours in the part time employee's weekly schedule bears to forty (40) hours.

Holidays – Part-Time Employees. ‌ Any part-time employee shall, for each holiday in the pay period, receive holiday pay equivalent to one-tenth (1/10) of an hour for each hour regularly scheduled to be worked based on the employee’s ongoing work schedule. If the employee’s total hours in paid status (excluding the holiday benefit) exceed the hours regularly scheduled to be worked, the employee shall receive holiday pay equivalent to one-tenth (1/10) of an hour for each hour in paid status (excluding the holiday benefit).

(b) work their normal scheduled shift preceding and their normal scheduled shift following the paid holiday unless the employee was absent due to illness or accident which commenced in the current or previous pay period in which the holiday occurred. For a part time employee who works a regular routine of split shifts, the calculation for payment for the holiday will be the average number of hours worked per shift during the 4 week qualifying period in (a) above. 20.03 Should the Hospital be required to observe additional paid holidays as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Hospital shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Hospital's obligation to provide for twelve (12) paid holidays remains unchanged. 20.04 An employee who is absent on any of the holidays after being required to work forfeits all pay for that day unless the employee provides a reason for such absence which is reasonable.

If a legal holiday falls on a day in which a part-time employee would normally work, he or she shall be entitled to the number hours scheduled to work, off with pay, or if he or she works, the employee is entitled to additional compensation for those hours worked as provided under overtime. B. If a part-time employee, who works an irregular shift or schedule, works a holiday, she/he shall be compensated in the same manner as a regularly scheduled employee. Holiday hours not worked or scheduled will not be compensated.

Holidays – Part-Time Employees. Part-time employees shall earn holiday pay on a pro rated basis determined by multiplying the part-time employee’s FTE by the full-time benefit. Part-time employees scheduled to work on a holiday may elect to use vacation pay or work additional hours during the pay period to make up the difference between the hours they would regularly work on the holiday and the hours for which they received holiday pay. Part-time employees requesting additional hours under this paragraph will be scheduled for such hours by their supervisor based upon workload requirements.
Holidays – Part-Time Employees. Part-time employees who qualify under Section of The Employment Standards Act and who are required to work on any one of the Holidays outlined in Article shall be paid at one hundred and fifty per cent (150%) of their hourly rate for hours worked that day in addition to their regular rate for hours worked that day. Part-time employees who qualify under Section of The Employment Standards Act and who do not work the Holiday shall be paid at the average rate of pay received for straight time hours worked during the two (2) preceding Payroll periods. In addition, payment for the above mentioned Holidays will not be less than the provisions of The Employment Standards Act.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate. Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • TIME EMPLOYEES Part-time employee means an employee whose weekly scheduled hours of work on average are less than those established in Article 25 but not less than those prescribed in the Public Service Labour Relations Act.

  • Benefits for Part-Time Employees ‌ A part-time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or part by the Hospital, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury and witness duty, bereavement pay, and maternity supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his/her regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.

  • Part-Time Employment Monthly compensation for part-time employment will be pro-rated based on the ratio of hours worked to hours required for full-time employment. In the alternative, part-time employees may be paid the appropriate hourly rate for all hours worked.
