JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. 18.01 When an employee is required to serve on a jury or as a subpoenaed witness and is prevented from performing his regular duties because of time required to serve in this capacity, he shall be paid a make‑up pay for time lost repre‑ senting the difference between his fees from the court and his normal earnings for regular hours during the period of such jury service.

JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. 28-1 An employee who loses time from work during the employee’s normal schedule of work because of jury duty service or to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall be paid for such time lost at the employee’s hourly rate plus shift premium, if applicable.
28-2 Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, such jury duty and witness service shall be considered time worked. The employee shall furnish the University with a written statement from the court showing the days and time of jury duty or witness service. An employee will report for work when released from jury duty or witness service.
28-3 An employee who does not lose time from work, but who nevertheless has performed jury duty service or testified pursuant to a subpoena within the eight hour period immediately before the beginning of their shift, at the request of the employee may have an amount of time off work equal to the time the employee was required to spend in court during that eight hour period. In such a case, the employee will be paid for this time in the same manner as if they had lost time from work.
28-4 An employee who is required to report for jury duty service or testify pursuant to a subpoena following completion of a shift which ends after midnight, will be excused from work at midnight and paid for such lost time at their hourly rate plus shift or special schedule premium, if applicable.
28-5 None of the above provisions will apply to an employee who is a plaintiff, except for a plaintiff in a domestic dispute, whether testifying pursuant to a subpoena or not. Such an employee must make prior arrangements with the supervisor for either vacation or an excused absence without pay.

An employee who loses time from his or her assigned schedule of work because of jury duty service or to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall be paid for such time lost at his or her hourly rate plus shift or special schedule premium, if applicable. Jury duty and witness fees shall be offset against such pay. Except as otherwise provided in this agreement, such jury duty and witness service shall be considered time worked. The employee shall furnish the College a written statement from the court showing the days of jury duty or witness service and the amount of jury duty or witness fees he or she was eligible to receive for each day.
JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. 246 An employee who loses time from work during the employee’s normal schedule of work because of jury duty service or to testify pursuant to a job related subpoena from a court shall be paid for such time lost at the employee’s regularly paid University compensation plus shift premium, if applicable. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, such jury duty and witness service shall be considered time worked. The employee shall furnish the University a written statement from the court showing the days and time of jury duty or witness service. The employee will report for available work when released from jury duty or witness service. 247 This provision for pay from the University to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall not be applicable when the employee is a plaintiff in a proceeding against the University or when the employee is subpoenaed by another employer for whom the University employee works or has worked.

JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. An employee (other than a casual employee) who is required to attend for jury service or who is subpoenaed or called as a witness in an official capacity, or by the Crown, shall be considered to be on duty while serving in such a capacity. Any monies paid to an employee (other than meal or travel expenses) by the court while serving in such capacity shall be paid by the employee to the University. PART 10 OTHER PROVISIONS
JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. Employees who are required by law to serve as jurors or witnesses in any court shall be granted leave of absence for this purpose. Providing that the employee concerned deposits with the University any pay received, other than expenses, no deduction in salary shall be made for such absence.
JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. Section 1. Employees selected for jury duty or subpoenaed for witness service will be allowed the necessary time off to perform the service. Employees must contact their immediate supervisor prior to reporting for jury duty or subpoenaed witness service. An employee who reports and is then released from service must immediately contact the employee's supervisor to coordinate return to work. The Company will make reasonable allowances for travel and shift schedules.
Section 2. Regular full-time employees who are absent because of jury duty, government subpoena where the Company is not a party, or Company subpoena, will be paid the difference between the jury duty or specified witness pay and their normal base wages for scheduled shifts missed. Employees will be required to provide documentation of service to receive applicable pay.
