Jury Duty and Witness Service. Time off with pay will be granted for absence necessary for an employee to perform jury duty or witness service. The employee will retain all fees received. Time off with pay, unless required by applicable law, will not be granted if the employee:
Jury Duty and Witness Service. Payment will be equal to the number of hours in their baseline schedule for that day (maximum of eight hours). If jury duty or witness service falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee will not be compensated for that day.

An employee who is called for jury duty or is subpoenaed as a witness in a case to which the employee is not a party, shall be paid during the absence on account of the jury or witness service, salary less the amount of jury or witness fees (exclusive of mileage) the employee is paid or to which the employee is entitled.
Jury Duty and Witness Service. A. Employees who lose time from work during their normal schedule of work because of jury duty or to testify pursuant to a subpoena, and who are not party to the action shall be paid for such time lost at their regular hourly rate.
Jury Duty and Witness Service. 25.02 The Employer shall reimburse an employee for the difference between the employee’s regular hourly classification wage rate and the fee received for jury duty or as a subpoenaed witness in criminal matters where such employee is required to miss a regularly scheduled shift in order to perform jury duty or report as such witness. The employee must advise their supervisor as soon as they receive the jury duty notification or court summons.
Jury Duty and Witness Service. An Employee who loses time from work during his/her regularly scheduled hours because of having been subpoenaed to testify or to serve on jury, will be paid the difference between the subpoena pay or pay for jury duty and his/her regular pay. After serving as a witness or on jury duty, the Employee will return to his/her regular scheduled daily work.
Jury Duty and Witness Service. Employees summoned for jury duty by a court of the United States, the State of Ohio, or other political subdivisions will receive their regular pay for the time they are absent from work. Employees on first shift who are released from duty prior to the end of their shift shall be required to report to work for the balance of their shift. Employees who work on second or third shift will receive their regular rate of pay for time spent on jury duty only if they work their entire regularly scheduled shift after being on jury duty. Employees on second shift, whose jury duty extends into the beginning of the second shift will receive their regular rate of pay for time spent on jury duty up to the beginning of their shift as well as their regular pay as long as they report work for the remainder of the second shift upon completion of jury duty. The employee is to notify his supervisor at least three (3) days prior to the service date. Employees shall not be required to submit any compensation received from the court. Employees who serve as witnesses in a City related law suit will be paid for their time absent from work when appearing on behalf of the City. Vacation leave must be used when an employee is party to or subpoenaed for a non-City law suit. Any employee excused from work for witness service will be paid their regular wages for the time period. The Employer agrees to provide the Union, upon request, with the name, address, and telephone number of any employee who is on leave of absence.

An employee who loses straight-time from work during their normal schedule of work because of jury duty service or to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall be paid for such time lost at their hourly rate. Jury duty and witness fees shall be offset against such pay. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, such jury duty and witness service shall be considered time worked. The employee shall furnish the Human Resources Department a written statement from the court showing the days and time of jury duty or witness service and the amount of jury duty or witness fees they were eligible to receive for each day. An employee temporarily excused from attendance at court shall report for work during the excused period.

Faculty members who lose time from work during their normal schedule of work because of jury duty or to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall be paid for such time lost at their hourly rate. Jury duty and witness fees, excluding any travel allowance paid by the court, shall be offset against such pay. Faculty members shall furnish the Office of Employee Relations a written statement from the court showing the days and time of jury duty or witness service and the amount of jury duty or witness fees they were eligible to receive for each day. A faculty member temporarily excused from attendance at court shall report for his or her regular responsibilities at the University during the excused period. Faculty members are not in travel status while on leave for jury duty or witness service. Therefore, they may not use a state car and are not eligible for travel reimbursement from the University. If a faculty member's absence would impair the operations of the Library, or the school, the immediate supervisor may petition the court to excuse the faculty member from jury duty.
