Jury Duty and Witness Service. Payment will be equal to the number of hours in their baseline schedule for that day (maximum of eight hours). If jury duty or witness service falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee will not be compensated for that day.
Jury Duty and Witness Service. An employee who is called for jury duty or is subpoenaed as a witness in a case to which the employee is not a party, shall be paid during the absence on account of the jury or witness service, salary less the amount of jury or witness fees (exclusive of mileage) the employee is paid or to which the employee is entitled. Faculty members are not in travel status while on leave for jury duty or witness service. Therefore, they may not use a state car and are not eligible for travel reimbursement from the University. If a faculty member's absence would impair the operations of the Library, or the school, the immediate supervisor may petition the court to excuse the faculty member from jury duty.
