Jury Duty and Court Subpoena. Any employee summoned to jury duty or issued a court subpoena shall be paid full salary/wages for each working day of absence, provided that the employee pays the District the jury fee or witness fee. This provision is not applicable if the employee is a witness against the District, the Board, or its representative as the result of any legal actions commenced by or on behalf of the employee, the employee’s representative association(s), its agents or members.
Jury Duty and Court Subpoena. 1. A member on jury duty will turn over to the College any compensation for this service (excluding mileage), but will receive his/her salary for the days absent. Satisfactory evidence of serving as a juror must be presented to the Human Resources Office.
2. A member subpoenaed as a witness will turn over to the College all compensation for this service (excluding mileage), but will receive his/her salary for days absent. Satisfactory evidence of being subpoenaed as a witness must be presented to the Human Resources Office.

Satisfactory evidence of serving as a juror must be presented to qualify for payment. Similar makeup pay shall be granted to an employee who loses time from work because of the employee’s appearance in court pursuant to proper subpoena, except when the employee is either a plaintiff, defendant, or other party to a personal court proceeding.

If payment is not received within forty (40) days, it will be withheld from subsequent pay. This provision is not applicable if the employee is a witness against the District, the Board or its representatives as the result of any legal actions commenced by or on behalf of the National Education Association, the Illinois Education Association, its agents or members, or as the result of any legal actions arising from collective negotiations between the Association and the Board.

Teachers summoned to jury duty or issued a court subpoena shall be paid full salary for each working day of absence provided that the teacher pays the District the jury fee or witness fee, not including payments for mileage or other expenses. This provision is not applicable if the teacher is a witness against the School District, the Board of Education, or its representatives.
Jury Duty and Court Subpoena. A leave of absence shall be granted to an employee called for jury service, or jury interview, provided that the Board shall only be obligated to pay an amount equal to the difference between the employee's salary as computed on a daily basis and the daily jury duty fee paid by the court. The employer will pay the employee the difference between any compensation received and his/her regular pay, when the employee is subpoenaed to appear before a court or other legal body other than as the defendant or complainant. Payment will be made only for jury duty and interview service completed during the employee's work hours. It will be the responsibility of the employee to turn in funds received for jury duty or the interview to the payroll department, or to make arrangements to have the difference owed by the District paid to them.
Jury Duty and Court Subpoena. An employee receiving a Court summons for jury duty or a Court issued subpoena will be released from work in accordance with state and federal law. Employees ordered to jury duty will be released on paid time and shall remit any payment received from the Court for jury duty to the district, exclusive of meal and mileage reimbursements. Employees receiving a subpoena to testify will be released on leave without pay (unless the employee elects to use Personal or Annual Leave) except in the case where said subpoena concerns matters related to District business. An employee must provide the principal, or immediate supervisor, with a copy of the jury duty order or court document immediately after receipt of such document.

In order to be eligible for such benefit, the employee shall notify the employee’s supervisor in writing immediately upon receipt of the call for jury duty or the subpoena. After such duty or subpoena, the employee shall present proof of compliance from the appropriate public official and return to the School District of the City of Erie the amount of pay received for such duty or appearance as a witness, exclusive of any mileage allowance.
