Military Leave of Absence with Pay. The Board of Education authorizes the payment of compensation to all teachers for the first 30 calendar days of military service providing they have served the District for at least one (1) year. Military Leave of Absence with Pay. Every employee covered by this Agreement who is a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States shall be granted in accordance with Section 59 of Chapter 33 of the General Laws, leave of absence with pay, during the time of his/her annual tour of duty and/or weekend duty as a member of such reserve component; provided, however, that such leave shall not exceed seventeen (17) calendar days.
Military Leave of Absence with Pay. An employee who is a member of the National Guard, the United States Army Reserve, the United States Air Force Reserve, the United States Naval Reserve, the United States Marine Corps Reserve, or the United States Coast Guard Reserve, shall be entitled to leave of absence from their respective duties, without loss of pay, on all days during which they are employed with or without pay under the orders or authorization of competent authority on active training duty or duty with troops or at field exercise or for instruction, for not to exceed fifteen (15) workdays in any one (1) payroll year. Such leave of absence shall be in addition to the regular vacation leave of such employees. Any employee on military leave shall not be counted as being on leave for the purposes of determining the maximum number of employees who are on annual leave.

A) There is no requirement that the service be for one continuous period of time. B) Employees who are members of those components listed in paragraph one above will be granted emergency leave for mob, riot, flood, civil defense, or similar duties when so ordered by the Governor to assist civil authorities. The leave will cover the official period of the emergency. This provision in no way abrogates a veteran’s present or future rights. C) Employees who are members of those components listed above and who are called or ordered to military service for longer than a month of each calendar year, because of an executive order issued by the President of the United States, an act of Congress, or because of an order to perform duty issued by the Governor pursuant to Section 5919.29 or 5923.21 of the Revised Code are entitled, during the period designated in the act or order, to a leave of absence from their respective duties and to be paid each monthly pay period of that leave, the lesser of: a. The difference between the employee’s gross monthly wage or salary and the sum of the employee’s gross military pay and allowances received that month; b. $500.00 No employee will receive payment under this section, if the sum of the employee’s gross military pay and allowances received in the period exceed the employee’s gross wage or salary. D) The maximum days of paid and unpaid military leave is restricted to the time that the employee has received military orders to report, and does not include voluntary technical training, for which ‘orders’ are not required. E) Employees on paid military leave shall continue to accrue paid leave benefits while they remain in active pay status. In accordance with the requirements and provisions of state and federal laws, employees shall be entitled to military leaves of absence without pay for services in the armed forces of the United States and reinstatement at the expiration of such leave. Such leave shall be authorized only in cases where the employee has been officially called to active duty in the military service and shall be authorized only as long as the employee is in the service as required by the government.

A leave of absence with pay shall be granted to any employee who serves on a jury or as a witness for the federal government, the State of Nevada, or a political subdivision thereof. The employee shall be paid his/her regular salary while on court leave and retain any witness or jury duty fees, when summoned for jury duty or serving as a witness in any case. When an employee, serving in his/her official capacity as a County employee and as part of his/her required duties, serves as a witness in any case, he shall not receive witness fees.   • Union Leave of Absence 22:01 (a) The Employer shall grant leave of absence to employees to attend Union conventions, seminars, educational classes or other Union business. It is understood that the Union will not request leave of absence for more than four (4) full-time employees and three (3) part-time employees at any one time and the total leave of absence in any year shall be not more than an aggregate of thirty (30) working days for full- time employees and fifteen (15) working days for part- time employees.
