Miscellaneous Guidelines a. Clothing should be neat and clean. b. Clothing may not be worn inside out or backwards. c. Undergarments must not be exposed. d. Hair, face, body paint, and tattoos are inappropriate for school and not permitted. e. Athletic outfits are not permitted in the school building, except in P. E. classes and Dress Down Days. f. Cosmetics and/or make-up should be age appropriate, appropriate for school, and not attract undue attention. g. Clothing with rips, tears, holes or frayed edges are considered inappropriate for school. h. Jewelry and accessories should be appropriate for school and not attract undue attention or pose a safety risk. Piercing other than earrings are prohibited. Hair accessories must not attract attention. i. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted (examples: Mohawk cuts, hair coloring other than standard frosting or natural highlighting) and should not attract undue attention. Students are not permitted to have designs shaved into the hair. j. Hats, caps, curlers, headscarves, bandanas, doo-rags, xxxxx, sweatbands, chains, sunglasses, tennis skirts, gloves, arm warmers, and coats are not to be worn during school hours (even on dress down days). k. Exemptions may be granted for religious purposes if approved in advance. l. On dress down days, clothing that is revealing, such as short mini-skirts, short-shorts, tank tops, loosely fitting, low-cut blouses or halter tops, mesh shirts, or shirts exposing the midriff are not to be worn to school. Sleeveless shirts are not allowed. (Mainly applies to non-uniform days at school). Shirts must be worn buttoned up to second from top. m. On dress down days, all t-shirts must be in good taste (no suggestive wording or illustrations or advertisements for items which are illegal for - i.e., alcohol and tobacco products, etc.). Administration approved school spirit t-shirts may be worn in lieu of school uniform t-shirt on Fridays only. n. All non-uniform issued outside coats and jackets or hooded apparel may not be worn inside the school building. All non- uniform issued outside coats and jackets must be put in the student’s locker/backpack immediately upon entering the school building. The OSES uniform designated uniform company includes an optional sweatshirt or zippered fleece for those students who need to have additional layers to remain warm.

Miscellaneous Guidelines. (a) The Sick Leave Bank Committee consisting of the Human Resources Director – Classified (Chairperson), the CSEA Chapter #127 President, one classified employee selected by CSEA, and one administrator selected by the District shall approve any request. It shall require a majority vote of the committee members and all votes shall be confidential. (b) The maximum number of days allowed one employee for any approved catastrophic illness shall not extend beyond 125 days sick leave when combined with other available paid leaves (including 10.7). (c) A request for additional days following the original request must not exceed the maximum of 125 days in (b) in this section. (d) Any approved days unused by the employee shall be returned to the sick leave bank. (e) An employee using the bank shall receive the same pay the employee would have earned had the employee worked all day. (f) The Sick Leave Bank Committee shall administer the Sick Leave Bank and the hours contained therein and the District shall provide all necessary information to the Committee for these purposes. (g) CSEA will be responsible for the solicitation of donations. (h) A donation to the bank shall be a general donation and not be donated to a specific employee for his/her exclusive use. (i) The bank will have a cap of 7500 hours. If the bank has 7500 hours or more, only newly eligible employees need to contribute during that contribution year. (j) If the bank falls below the 7500-hour level, newly eligible and existing employees in the bank must contribute to retain eligibility for that year. Should an existing employee fail to contribute during this time when the bank is below 7500 hours, the employee shall no longer be eligible to utilize the hours from the bank for that year.
Miscellaneous Guidelines. 10.15.4.1 The Committee shall keep all records confidential and shall not disclose the nature of the illness except as is necessary to process the request for withdrawal and defend against any appeals of denials. 10.15.4.2 In October of each school year, the District shall notify the Committee of the following: • The total number of accumulated days in the Bank on June 30th of the previous school year. • The number of days contributed by teachers for the current year. • The names of participating teachers. • The total number of days available in the Bank. 10.15.4.3 If approved by the Committee, the District shall pay the employee the same pay the employee would have earned had the employee worked that day, and the Bank shall be charged one (1) day. 10.15.4.4 Teachers must use all sick leave, but not differential leave, as defined in Article X, section 1, SICK LEAVE, available to them before eligible for a withdrawal from the Bank. 10.15.4.5 Teachers who have exhausted sick leave, but still have differential leave available, are eligible for a withdrawal from the Catastrophic Leave Bank. If requested by the teacher and approved by the Committee, in lieu of differential pay, the District shall pay the teacher full pay and the Bank shall be charged one-half (1/2) day. 10.15.4.6 Any approved days unused by the employee will be returned to the Catastrophic Sick Leave Bank. 10.15.4.7 In the interest of not depleting the Bank, the committee, at its discretion, may deny a subsequent request from the same member which would bring their withdrawal amount in excess of forty (40) days within the same school year. 10.15.4.8 Beginning the 2019-2020 school year, there will be a lifetime CAP of 80 days from the bank. 10.15.4.9 The District shall provide all necessary information to the Committee. 10.15.4.10 If a teacher is incapacitated, applications may be submitted to the Committee by the participant’s agent or member of the teacher’s family.
Miscellaneous Guidelines. The following guidelines shall be observed whenever it becomes necessary to implement layoff procedures. a. At least five (5) weekdays (exclusive of weekends and holidays) prior to the Board meeting at which layoffs are to be considered, the Superintendent or designee shall meet with representatives of the Association for the purpose of discussing and reviewing the proposed layoffs. b. Teachers being laid off shall be notified of the layoff in writing at least ten (10) weekdays, (exclusive of weekends and holidays) prior to the effective date of the layoff. c. The Board will retain non-tenured teachers where no tenured teachers are certified for a position currently being held by the non-tenured teacher. d. The Board will decide which curriculum programs are to be retained based on economic factors. e. While laid off, certified personnel may continue at their own expense, and at the option and approval of the carrier, group health insurance coverage in accordance with Article XXI, Section G. f. As provided in this Article, the teacher's certification, qualifications and seniority existing at the date of layoff shall be the determining factors for purposes of layoff. For purposes of recall, the teacher's certification, qualifications and seniority existing as of the date of recall shall be the determining factors.
Miscellaneous Guidelines. The following guidelines shall be observed whenever it becomes possible to implement recall procedures. a. Upon recall, teachers shall retain their positions on the salary schedule, as well as their sick leave days and seniority accumulated prior to their layoff. b. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a teacher shall be eligible for recall for a period of thirty-six (36) months from the date of the teacher's layoff or the length of the teacher's seniority at the time of layoff, whichever period is greater. c. Tenured teachers shall retain any rights provided under the Teachers' Tenure Act pertaining to recall.

That in accordance with §2155.4441, Texas Government Code, the Contractor shall, in performing any service under this Contract, purchase products and materials produced in Texas when they are available at a comparable price and in a comparable period to products and materials produced outside of Texas. D. To make a good faith effort to utilize historically underutilized businesses ("HUBs") when subcontracting. Some methods for locating HUBs include using searchable HUB databases at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' website, using websites or other minority/women directory listings maintained by local xxxxxxxx of commerce, advertising subcontract work in local minority publications or contacting HHSC for assistance in locating available HUBs. E. That except as provided in the paragraphs below, the Contractor must not use HHSC's name, the State of Texas or refer to HHSC or the State directly or indirectly in any media release, public announcement, or public disclosure relating to this Contract or its subject matter, including, but not limited to, in any promotional or marketing materials, customer lists or business presentations (other than those submitted to HHSC, an administrative agency of the State of Texas, or a governmental agency or unit of another state or the Federal Government). The Contractor may publish, at its sole expense, results of Contractor performance under this Contract with HHSC's prior review and approval, which HHSC may exercise at its sole discretion. Any publication (written, visual, or sound) will acknowledge the support received from HHSC and any Federal agency, as appropriate. The Contractor will provide HHSC at least 3 copies of such publication prior to public release. The Contractor will provide additional copies at the request of HHSC. The Contractor may include information concerning this Contract's terms, subject matter, and estimated value in any report to a governmental body to which the law requires the Contractor to report such information. The Contractor must not use HHSC’s logo under any circumstances.

  • Miscellaneous Provision It is hereby understood that, to be entitled to the benefits under this Agreement, the MEMBER hereby waives his/her consent to the disclosure and processing of his/her medical/health information which is determinative for the assessment of his/her coverage and necessary for the treatment of his/her illness. MediCard, its Medical Service Units/Teams and its Accredited Hospitals/Clinics are hereby released from any liability by reason of such disclosure.

Approval shall not be given where the teacher has advance notice or in circumstances where the teacher could be reasonably expected to have foreseen the situation arising. Where practicable the teacher is to inform the school of the reasons for the absence and is required to return to duty as soon as possible. Full details of the case shall be submitted.

  • Miscellaneous Fees In addition to the Course Fees, the miscellaneous fees set out in Schedule 2.2 may be payable by the Student (the “Miscellaneous Fees”).

  • Miscellaneous Items Borrower shall deliver to Lender such other items, documents and evidences pertaining to the Line of Credit as may reasonably be requested by Lender.
