Pay Steps. The column headings in Appendix A denote the various steps in the 7 pay range. The step placement of newly hired nurses shall be determined by the 8 Employer consistent with the provisions of Section 9.3 below. Thereafter, 9 advancement to the next step shall be made following the completion of years of 10 service as specified in Appendix A.
Pay Steps. Employees shall receive pay step advancements, if applicable, based upon completion of two thousand and twenty two point seven five (2022.75) hours of work at each subsequent Pay Step in the pay range as specified in the Salary Schedule.
Pay Steps. Subd 1. For Grade 4 Custodians, they may be hired at Step 1 through Step 3 on the pay schedule depending upon experience and the labor market. For positions higher (grade 7), they may be hired at Step 1 through Step 4 at Elementary School Buildings and up to Step 6 at Secondary School Buildings depending upon experience and the labor market. The district shall inform the union of these decisions.
Pay Steps. Employees shall advance from Pay Step 1 to Pay Step 2 as set out in the Salaries Appendix upon completion of two thousand and twenty-two and three-quarters (2,022 3/4) hours paid at the Basic Rate of Pay and on a Named Holiday to a maximum of seven and three-quarters (7 3/4) hours within the classification, and then shall receive further Pay Step advancements, if applicable, based upon the completion of one thousand eight hundred and thirteen and one-half (1813 ½) hours worked at each subsequent Pay Step in the pay range.
Pay Steps. A. The "A" Step shall be starting rate for Captains.
B. A Captain shall be advanced to the "B" Step on the first day following completion of one (1) year in Step "A".
C. A Captain shall be advanced to the "C" Step on the first day following completing of one (1) year in Step "B".
Pay Steps. An employee who enters a different classification shall enter the new classification at the step on the salary schedule which is equal to the employee's number of years of seniority as an employee of the Board.
Pay Steps. A. An employee will receive an automatic step increase after successful completion of initial, new hire training. This date will become the anniversary date.
B. Employees who are promoted into a higher salary classification will receive no less than a five percent 5% wage increase above the wage last received before the promotion. Promotion and reclassification will become effective only upon successful completion of training required by the District. The date of successful completion of training required by the District in order to be promoted will become the new anniversary date of the promoted employee.
C. An employee is eligible for a step increase on the first of the month following the employee’s anniversary date in their current classification. An employee is eligible for step increases annually thereafter, until the employee reaches the top of the range in that classification.
D. Annual step increases shall be granted for employees who meet performance standards and have not reached the top step of their salary range.
E. Individual performance evaluations are not grievable. However, the denial of a step increase may be grieved by the Association.

B. Each employee, on the employee's employment anniversary date, will be increased one (1) step in the above pay step plan, until the maximum pay step (E) is reached. "Anniversary date" shall be defined as that date occurring each year corresponding with the day upon which the employee was hired.
C. Employee compensation will be computed based upon 2600 hours of work divided equally into twenty-six (26) bi-weekly pay periods per annum, subject to the provisions of Article 23, Sub- article 23.1 and Article 24, Sub-article 24.1 of this Agreement, and in accordance with the following: TOTAL: 100 hours regular straight time
D. All employees that have attained the level of Paramedic with the State of Ohio Certification shall receive an additional $2000.00 divided equally across all pay periods as long as said members maintain that level of Certification, and serve the department as a paramedic. Copies of such Certification shall be maintained on file with the Fire Chief and Human Resources Department of the City.
E. Captains shall be paid in accordance with Article 39.3
Pay Steps. At such time as the Municipality grants a pay increase, said increase shall apply to the maximum, intermediate and minimum steps; or if said increase is equal to a step increase or greater, there shall be a new maximum step and a new minimum step, but there shall be no increase in the total number of steps.
Pay Steps a. The City standard pay schedule provides seven (7) steps. Each step provides a 5% increase in base monthly pay. Police Officers will become eligible for Step 7 on the beginning of the pay period closest to their 10th anniversary in the position of Police Officer with the City of Escondido and shall have one year of service in Step 6.
