Peer Review Committee. A “Peer Review Committee” is a Committee of three (3) year round Terminal Supervisors selected by management, established to provide mentoring and training to the employees covered under this Agreement, and shall be utilized by management as a tool to enhance performance and job development prior to disciplinary action, except in cases of WSDOT Ferries Division Code of Conduct violations.
Peer Review Committee. As an advisory committee to the division Associate Xxxx, the Peer Review Committee shall be responsible for determining the effectiveness of the probationary faculty member or tenured faculty member in teaching and instruction, College service, professional development, and community service. To determine the effectiveness of the faculty member being evaluated, the Peer Review Committee shall conduct an in-depth review of the faculty member’s activities that includes: • Review of all course syllabi and instructional materials • Multiple planned classroom visitations • Faculty Professional Development Report • Examination of a portfolio of selected representative course materials • Consultation with the faculty to provide constructive feedback • Consultation for the purpose of facilitating faculty in the teaching role and goal achievement • Written appraisal with identification of strengths and suggestions for improvement The Peer Review Committee shall consist of three tenured College faculty members with an appointment to review one faculty member. Two of the committee faculty members shall be elected by vote of the Division faculty. The committee member elected with the most votes shall serve as committee chair. The third committee member shall be selected by the faculty member to be reviewed and must hold an appointment within the same discipline as the faculty member. Members of the Peer Review Committee are elected to serve for a three or four year term (depending on the status of probationary faculty being evaluated) in the case of probationary faculty or for one year in the case of a tenured faculty member. No faculty member shall be required to serve on more than two Peer Review Committees at the same time. Faculty may elect to voluntary serve on more than two committees. Prior to initiating review activities, the Peer Review Committee shall meet with the division Associate Xxxx and the faculty member to review evaluation procedures. Th e chair of the Peer Review Committee shall be responsible for the following: calling the first and all subsequent meetings; informing the faculty member of all material required for evaluation; overseeing committee members to assure completion of responsibilities; and preparing a summative report annually for submission to the Associate Xxxx. The Peer Review Committee members shall be responsible for the following: attendance at all scheduled committee meetings; conducting at least two classroom visitations annually...
Peer Review Committee. The Orchestra Committee shall be responsible for conducting elections for a Peer Review Committee (see Article 4.02 – Peer Review Committee).
Peer Review Committee. 11.01 The Employer and the Union recognize the value of a collaborative process to help all employees perform at or above standard. When management identifies an employee whose level of job performance is below standard, management shall select a member of the PRC to mentor and correct coach the employee. The Employer and the mentor will meet and discuss the areas needing improvement and will be a written improvement plan will be provided outlined in writing and given to the PRC member and the employee prior to the coaching session, giving ample time for the mentor to prepare. ’ s job performance. Management has the right to utilize the disciplinary process with just cause immediately for violations of the WSDOT Ferries Division Code of Conduct.
11.02 The Committee shall meet a minimum of once per year with management to establish procedures for its operation. Members of the PRC shall receive applicable pay when providing services for the PRC. Peer Review Committee. Each faculty member shall have a peer review committee, coordinated by the College, composed as follows:
a. For teaching faculty: an Academic Lead and all continuing status faculty members of the discipline. In disciplines/areas with fewer than three (3) continuing status faculty members, the faculty member being reviewed shall select at least two (2) continuing status faculty members from the division/area to serve on the peer review committee.
b. For Library faculty: a Division Administrator and two (2) continuing status faculty members (one [1] chosen by the faculty member being reviewed, one [1] chosen by the Association).

The chair of the Peer Review Committee for a full-time instructional Faculty Member will be the division chair or a full-time non-probationary instructional Faculty Member in the evaluee’s academic discipline, related discipline, or in the division designated by the division chair.
b. The committee chair will select three (3) non-probationary Faculty Member in the discipline. If a sufficient number of non-probationary Faculty Members are not available at the evaluee’s campus, non-probationary Faculty Members in the discipline at other campuses will be selected. If a vacancy still exists, a non- probationary Faculty Member in a related discipline at the evaluee’s campus will serve.
c. The committee chair or the evaluee may invite a person external to MCC with academic or discipline qualifications, or the evaluee may select one additional Faculty Member from any discipline to participate in the peer review process.

If a vacancy still exists, a non-probationary Faculty Member in a related discipline at the evaluee’s campus will serve.
