PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. 30.1 Where the employer considers it necessary, appropriate protective clothing or uniforms will be provided which will remain the property of the employer. 30.2 An employee who is required to undertake duties of an obnoxious, infectious or contaminating nature, e.g. spraying or handling dangerous weedkillers, insecticides, and acids, shall be provided, as appropriate, with protective equipment such as cap, goggles, visor, respirator, acid resistant apron, gloves and overshoes. 30.3 In addition, an employee shall be provided with protective equipment as specified and in the following circumstances: (a) Ear muffs as approved by the medical officer of health for work where the noise level is likely to cause impairments to an employee’s hearing, providing it has not proved practical to reduce the noise level or to isolate the work process. (b) Eye protection in areas where an employee is subject to risk of injury to the eyes.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. The parties recognise that a suitable standard of dress reflects the image of the Council. 20.1 Staff will at all times wear name badges or appropriate identification as provided by the Business Unit. 20.2 Staff will wear suitable clean and tidy attire or uniform if provided by Council. 20.3 Where needed protective clothing will be provided to ensure adequate protection in the work environment. 20.4 Those staff requiring protective clothing in the 1997/98 financial year will be provided two (2)sets. For staff with an adequate quantity and quality of clothing, this annual issue may be replaced by suitable jackets or jumpers for work in cold weather. 20.5 Permanent administrative staff will be given the option to purchase clothing from a prescribed Local Government Uniform range and the City will contribute 50% towards the purchase to a maximum of $200 in the 1997/98 financial year and $300 in the following financial years
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. 1. All field personnel covered under this Agreement shall have protective coveralls furnished to them as necessary. 2. Nurses shall receive a yearly credit of up to $250.00 for the purchase of uniforms and shoes. Said purchases must be made from an authorized Township vendor. Vendor shall then submit voucher to the Township for payment. 3. All inspectors will be provided with winter jackets as necessary. 4. Effective January 1, 2008 Police Dispatchers and Park Rangers will receive a yearly credit of up to $500. for the purchase of uniforms. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS a) The employer will meet its responsibility to provide safe working conditions, define and teach safe working practices and provide information and control measures for hazards in the workplace. The employer's primary objective is the elimination of all incidents that could lead to personal injury, occupational illness or damage to plant and equipment. All employees' commit to these objectives and ensure that their jobs are performed safely and without injury to themselves or others. b) The employer will supply protective wear. To encourage care and ownership a deposit for the items will be deducted from wages and refunded on return of the items. The employer shall be entitled to withhold the deposit where the protective clothing is not returned. c) Employees required to work in a wet place or in heavy weather shall be provided with wet weather gear that includes suitable head covering. d) At the discretion of the employer, employees in Supervisory or Senior roles may be allocated with an annual uniform allowance. The employer may supply items such as, work trousers and shirts, polar fleece jackets, overalls, hats etc.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. The parties recognise that a suitable standard of dress reflects the image of the Shire and may be needed to provide adequate protection in the work environment. All personal protective clothing will be issued in respect to the relevant Occupational Safety and Health Act. The CEO (or nominated officer) may approve modifications where protective clothing or equipment needs to be customised or have individual ownership such as chainsaw chaps, or prescription eyewear.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. 15.01 The Employer will pay a clothing allowance of a hundred dollars ($100.00)/year for a full-time employee and thirty-five dollars ($35.00)/year for a part-time employee (pro-rated), upon completion of probation. Style and colour of clothing to be approved by Elm Management. Cooks to be provided with white jackets at no cost. Aprons will be provided when required. Employer to provide over-shoes at no cost and they must be worn.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. 16.1 The Company will provide all permanent full time employees with a protective clothing allowance of up to $165 per annum. This figure will be adjusted by CPI as of July 2008 and July 2009. The clothing allowance covers: 1 pair safety boots / shoes. 2 pair overalls. Employees may purchase other protective clothing other than the above items up to the value of the clothing allowance, if current clothing is in good condition. For example if safety boots / shoes do not need replacing the employee may purchase extra clothing instead up to the value of the clothing allowance. However if safety boots / shoes wear out during the year the employee is responsible for replacing his or her safety boots / shoes at their own cost
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS a) To present a professional company image, Employees must wear the Company provided protective clothing and uniforms whilst on duty. b) The Employee is required to wear protective clothing including long legged trousers and long sleeved shirts as per legal, site specific and client requirements. c) Upon the commencement of a new Employee the Company will provide the necessary uniforms and protective clothing. d) New uniform items will be provided on a fair wear and tear basis. e) Employees are responsible for regular cleaning and maintenance of all clothing and uniform items. Worn clothing must be returned to the Company when new clothing is issued. f) If an Employee leaves the Company for whatever reason, the Employee must return all items of protective clothing and uniforms.
