PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. 30.1 Where the employer considers it necessary, appropriate protective clothing or uniforms will be provided which will remain the property of the employer.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. The parties recognise that a suitable standard of dress reflects the image of the Shire and may be needed to provide adequate protection in the work environment. All personal protective clothing will be issued in respect to the relevant Occupational Safety and Health Act. The CEO (or nominated officer) may approve modifications where protective clothing or equipment needs to be customised or have individual ownership such as chainsaw chaps, or prescription eyewear.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/UNIFORMS. The importance to the Company of portraying a professional image is recognised by the parties to this Agreement. The requirement for all employees to wear Company-provided protective clothing and uniforms at all times whilst on duty is a condition of employment. To that end, the Company will purchase, pay the full cost of and provide on commencement the following uniform/protective clothing: • Two sets of shorts, overalls or trousers and shirts, or any combination of clothing as agreed; • One pair of safety boots; • A jumper, or a bluey jacket; • Wherever possible, “Australian Made” protective clothing shall be issued. Other protective clothing will be provided on an as-required basis for project or activity to comply with OH&S requirements. Regular maintenance and cleaning of all clothing remains the responsibility of the wearer. If an employee ceases work with the Company all uniforms and equipment must be returned to the company along with Mobile Phone, digital camera (if issued) any Company Account Cards/Credit Cards and Petrol Card prior to final payment being forwarded.
