ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. The Technicians working extended hours covering Monday through Sunday will work statutory holidays and proclaimed days as required by their schedule. In the event that two Technicians are scheduled for a statutory holiday or proclaimed day, the individual with lowest departmental seniority will be scheduled to work, and the more senior Technician will normally have the day Off. The Technicians covering Monday through Friday whose scheduled days of work fall on a statutory holiday or proclaimed day would normally have the day off. All Technicians working extended hours whose scheduled days of work fall on a statutory holiday or proclaimed day, but were given the day off as described above, will he have an opportunity to make up the time difference between the hours holiday pay and the hours minutes that they were originally scheduled to work. This make-up time is to be scheduled during normal Lab hours by agreement between the employee and the Lab supervisor. All Technicians working extended hours will be eligible to have eight hours off with pay for every Statutory Holiday that occurs on their regularly scheduled day off for the balance of This (time off) shall be scheduled by mutual agreement between the supervisor and the employee involved. Effective January the provision outlined in Letter of Agreement for Banking Statutory Holiday Pay will replace the above provisions. The provisions of will not apply. THE BIDDING PROCEDURE OF HOURS WORK DAY IN THE LAB Laboratory personnel will be asked in descending order based on Department Seniority, the “key” hours of work schedule they prefer, they may only select from schedule which is vacant. If a person declines to choose from one or any one of the three schedules available to when asked, for the purpose of this exercise, such person shall then be placed at the lowest Department Seniority position and may only be asked again when his her turn arises. Only the personnel who do not have a choice of each of the three “key” schedules and their hours of work do change from their present schedule shall receive double time for the first new assignment.

ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. The Board recognizes the following as paid holidays for Employees: New Year's Civic Family Day Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day Labour Day' Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day Permanent employees covered under this Agreement, including IO-month Employees, shall be entitled to two floating holidays in addition to the above mentioned holidays. The two floating holidays will be taken during Christmas break, March break, summer break, or in the Administration Centres at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and supervisor. If and when a public holiday is proclaimed by either the Federal or Provincial Government, one floating holiday shall be eliminated on January 1st of the year the proclaimed holiday comes into effect. Ten-month Employees are not eligible to receive holiday pay for any holidays which occur during a regularly scheduled lay-off time. When any of the above noted holidays falls on a Saturday or Sunday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the previous Friday or following Monday, as decided by the Board, shall be deemed to be the holiday or holidays for the purpose of this Agreement. Payment of holidays will be pro-rated for part-time Employees on the basis of their status.

ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. Section Regular shall be entitled to ten statutory holidays as follows: New Year's Day, Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Day, Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. Section Holiday Pay Holiday pay shall be eight hours at the applicable straight time hourly rate. Section Qualifying for Holiday Pay order to qualify holiday pay, an employee have completed a probationary period and work the days immediately preceding and following the holiday requested to do so in addition working at least one other day in the fifteen calendar days immediately pre- ceding or following the holiday. Section Holiday Work Pay Regular employees shall not be required to work a specified holiday. However, any regular employee offered and accepting work on a holiday shall be guaranteed eight hours of work or pay the straight time hourly rate of pay, in addition to the holiday pay. The guarantee may be broken by between the and the employee. ARTICLE VACATIONS Section Based on a minimum of hours worked, anniversary date to anniversary date, (including paid time off), bargaining employees may qualify for vacation upon completion of a minimum number of years as follows:
ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. If a part-time employee is required to work on any of the holidays listed in Article the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked on such holiday.

ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. An employee shall be entitled to the following holidays each year: New Year's Day Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day Family Day One (1) floating holiday to be scheduled by the Employer during the Year’s season, plus two (2) floating holiday to be taken at a mutually agreeable time. Two (2) floating holidays of a newly hired employee will be pro-rated based on date of hire hired on or before June -entitled to both; hired after June -entitled to one). Should the Centre be required to observe an additional paid holiday as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Centre shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Centre’s obligation to provide the number of paid holidays as noted above remains unchanged. When a holiday specified in section falls on a Saturday or Sunday or when any two of them fall on a successive Saturday or Sunday, the regular working day or days next following is a holiday or are holidays, as the case may be, in lieu thereof, but when such next following regular working day is also a holiday the next regularworking day thereafter is in lieu thereof a holiday.
ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. Employees who work less than hours per week be entitled to paid holidays in accordance with the Standards Act.
