Release Time for Union President. The District will provide full 1.0 FTE release time for the Local 1 College Unit President for negotiations, grievance processing, meetings with District representatives and other representation activities. In exchange for this release time, Local 1 agrees that the President will be reasonably available for meetings and discussions with the District on employer-employee relations issues and will have the authority to reach agreement with the District on the settlement of grievances, complaints, disciplinary actions, etc. In addition, the President shall have the authority to review and provide timely comments on classification specifications submitted by the District for review. This level of release time (from the current 0.5 FTE) will be reviewed by the parties after one year to determine its effectiveness. After this review, if the District agrees, the full release time provision will become a regular part of this contract provision.

Release Time for Union President. A. The Local 686 President or his/her designee shall be released from duty sixteen (16) hours per month or one hundred ninety-two (192) hours per year to perform Local 686 business without loss of compensation.

Release Time for Union President. The Union President shall have four (4) days release time each year and the remaining Union Officers shall have two (2) days release time each year without loss of pay to attend conventions, workshops, deal with grievances, for negotiation purposes, or Union meetings provided the Union reimburses the Board for the costs of a substitute(s) incurred as a result of the absence(s) of the President or Union Officers. The Union President and Union Officer(s) shall give the administration at least five (5) days written notice of the expected use of said days.
Release Time for Union President. The President of Local 2191, upon election to that post and as long as he/she continues in that post, will be permitted to devote his/her full time during the workweek to Union matters while continuing in his/her City job classification, but is required to maintain all minimum requirements of his/her City job classification and provide evidence of such maintenance as required of similarly situated employees. The Union President's entitlement to his/her hourly wage, fringe benefits and seniority accrual will continue as though he/she were performing his/her normal job-related duties. The President of Local 2191 will not, however, be eligible to receive overtime or holiday-worked pay, receive a performance evaluation or be eligible for merit pay while in that post. The workweek and workday for the Union President shall be considered the normal workweek and normal workday as defined within the bargaining contract. The Union President will communicate by written notification to the Columbus Public Health Human Resources Officer, or designee in his/her absence, when the Union President will not be available for representation of bargaining unit employees at Columbus Public Health due to using leave as permitted in the bargaining contract.
Release Time for Union President. The Union's Unit President or designee shall be allowed to attend scheduled Joint Labor/Management meetings at the Liverpool Library and be provided with 15 minutes weekly in an unoccupied meeting room at the Library to investigate and process grievances. If additional time is needed, prior approval must be obtained from the Administrator of Personnel.
