Scheduling of Holidays. The employer schedules the player’s holidays after consultation with him. If agreement cannot be reached, the employer decides. A work-free day cannot, however, be designated as a holiday by the employer. The player is entitled to at least two (2) consecutive weeks’ holiday outside the competitive season.
Scheduling of Holidays. All holidays earned in this Article must be requested and used by the continuous operations employees no later than one (1) year from the date of accrual. Should a requested day off be denied by the Employer more than two (2) times, such day will be paid or time limits waived for an additional six (6) months at the employer’s choice.
Scheduling of Holidays. If any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday, the following day will be considered the holiday. If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday, the employees shall receive a compensatory day off in lieu of the holiday. This compensatory time shall be mutually scheduled. The employee and the department head shall mutually agree on the day off so as not to interrupt the efficiency of the department.
Scheduling of Holidays. (a) Holidays to be worked will be determined by the Nurse's rotation. However, Nurses will not be required to work on both Christmas or New Year's Day in the same Christmas/New Year's season nor be required to work Christmas Day in consecutive years or New Year's Day in consecutive years, except where the Nurse indicates another preference to the Employer prior to November 1st and operational requirements permit such change.
(b) A Nurse who is scheduled to be off on Christmas Day shall not be scheduled to work a shift that commences after 11:59 a.m. on December 24th unless mutually agreed otherwise. A Nurse who is scheduled to be off on New Year’s Day shall not be scheduled to work a shift that commences after 11:59 a.m. on December 31st, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Scheduling of Holidays.
(a) Selection of holidays for Telecommunicators and CSOs shall be made according to unit and shift assignments. Priority in holiday selection shall be based upon unit seniority. Holiday selection shall begin no later than 0800 hours on April 16th of each year and end no later than 0800 hours on May 15th.
(b) Holiday selection shall be accomplished in one (1) round. Telecommunicators and CSOs may select up to three (3) days of holiday time. Once a Telecommunicator or CSO has selected, the selection moves to the next Telecommunicator or CSO in order and so on until all Telecommunicators and CSOs have made their selections.
(c) CSOs may choose any day for a holiday so long as the manpower scheduled for such unit or shift will not fall below the minimum manpower as determined by the Village. Telecommunicators may choose any day for holiday and/or vacation, so long as no more than one telecommunicator uses benefit time per calendar day.
(d) Holiday selections, once scheduled, shall not be changed or altered without the express approval of the supervising Deputy Chief or his designee.
(e) Nothing set forth herein shall limit the authority of the Chief of Police to deny or limit holiday time on the basis of manpower needs. During peak periods of activity, the Chief of Police may limit the use of holiday or vacation time to ensure sufficient manpower to meet the needs of the community.
Scheduling of Holidays. Each facility will have a policy for granting holidays that provides for every Employee, at a minimum, to be scheduled off one of the following groups of holidays. The policy cannot alter the intent of this Agreement. An Employee’s holiday schedule will alternate between these two groups each calendar year. Employees will be allowed to trade holidays with other Bargaining Unit employees. The Employer cannot deny the Employee from taking holidays within the assigned group. In the event the Employee transfers to a different position, that Employee will assume the holiday group assigned to that position. In the event the Employee chooses to schedule their vacation time during the holiday time they are expected to work, they will understand they must either work that assigned holiday or trade with someone else to work for them. In the event the Employee’s scheduled day off falls on the holiday assigned to work that year, the Employee is expected to work that assigned holiday or trade with another Employee. The Employee can request to be scheduled another day off during that week in order to avoid working overtime.
