If 42 the District has reason to reprimand an employee, it shall be done in a manner which will not 43 embarrass the employee before other employees or the public. 44
Section 10.13. The seniority of a substitute who meets the criteria in Section 1.5 shall be established when the 6 substitute fulfills the criteria. These substitutes shall accrue seniority on the basis of one (1) day 7 of seniority for each day of work commencing on the referred thirty-first (31st) day. The 8 seniority of such substitute shall be expressed as the number of days worked and may be 9 utilized for jobs posted under Section 10.9 (and its subsections).
Section 10.13. District will provide the Association with advance notice and reasonable opportunity to discuss 16 layoffs and/or reduction in hours including alternative options to layoff and/or reductions. In emergent 17 situations, as currently provided by law, the District will negotiate these matters with the Association 18 as soon implementation as is possible. It is the responsibility of those in layoff status to apply for 19 available new or open positions. Employees on layoff status shall file their address, phone number and 20 email address (if applicable) in writing with the Human Resources office of the District and shall 21 thereafter promptly advise the District in writing of any change of address. The District shall send a 22 certified letter to the last address on file for the employee or obtain the signature and date of an 23 employee being offered re-employment.

Section 10.13. At the end of March and August, the District shall provide one and one-half (1½) days of pay at 39 the employee’s regular rate of pay to any employee who has been employed for the entire first 40 half of the school year and/or the entire last half of the school year and who has not used any 41 leave days from Article X, Section 10.1, Sick Leave; Section 10.3, Family Leave (Washington 42 State Family Care Leave); Section 10.7, Industrial Insurance Leave; Section 10.9, Emergency 43 Leave; or Section 10.11, Uncompensated Leave. Sick Leave Buy Back does not affect this 44 provision. For year-round employees, the summer break is exempt from this benefit.
