Shift Penalty Rates. (i) An employee when working on afternoon shift will be paid a loading of 15% of the hourly rate for the classification in which the employee is employed.

Shift Penalty Rates. An employee will be provided with a shift loading when working shift work as follows: Night Shift: For a rostered night shift an employee will be paid a loading of 50% on all of the ordinary hours of that night
Shift Penalty Rates. The following rates shall apply: Afternoon and night shift - ordinary time plus 50%. Morning and early afternoon shifts - ordinary time plus 25%. The ordinary hours of both afternoon and night shift shall be eight hours daily inclusive of meal breaks. Provided that where shift work comprises three continuous and consecutive shifts of eight hours each per day, a crib time of twenty minutes duration shall be allowed on each shift, and shall be paid for as though worked. Such crib time shall be in lieu of any other rest period or cessation of work elsewhere prescribed by this award. For all work performed on a Saturday or Sunday, the normal rates of pay, applicable to weekend overtime shall apply. Provided that an ordinary night shift commencing before and extending beyond midnight Friday, shall be regarded as a Friday shift. All work in excess of shift hours, Monday to Friday, other then holidays shall be paid for at double time based on the ordinary rates of pay (excluding shift rates).
Shift Penalty Rates a) An employee will be provided with a shift allowance when working shift work. The shift allowances are provided for in the table below. They are: Afternoon shift For a rostered afternoon shift an employee will be paid a loading of 15% on all of the ordinary hours of that afternoon shift. Night shift For a rostered night shift an employee will be paid a loading of 30% on all of the ordinary hours of that night shift. Saturday Employees who work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday as a rostered afternoon or night shift will be paid a loading of 50% on all of the ordinary hours. Sunday Employees who work ordinary hours between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday as a rostered afternoon or night shift will be paid a loading of 100% on all of the ordinary hours Permanent Night Shift Employees who work a permanent night shift will be paid a loading of 30% on all of the ordinary hours of that night shift when working permanent night shift. Permanent night shift means a period of engagement on shift work where an employee works night shift only; remains on night shift for longer than four consecutive weeks; or works on a night shift which doesn't rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give that employee at least one third of working time off the night shift cycle.
Shift Penalty Rates a) In order to receive shift penalties, an Employee must meet the definition of a Shift Worker under Clause 12 – Shift Workers. Shift penalty rates will be paid on the minimum hourly pay rate of the Employee in accordance with Clause 12.
