Weekend Overtime. All work performed on the employee’s normally scheduled weekend days off shall be considered overtime.

Weekend Overtime. The Company will distribute overtime on five (5) hour shifts. In the event more than five (5) hours of overtime is required, the Company will notify the Union in advance of their intention. The Company can only increase overtime hours for the following reasons: a) Where more production is required b) In the event of an emergency c) Material shortages/Engineering changes d) Where immediate shipment is required and customer’s demands are to be fulfilled. e) Where equipment/tool maintenance is required.
Weekend Overtime. In order to fill an overtime requirement, the Company will utilize the following asking sequence: a) Employees within the classification on the shift, (low to high hours); b) Employees within the classification on the other shifts, (low to high hours); c) Employees with the least amount of overtime on the shift capable of performing the work to be done without training. d) The overtime requirement will then be posted in the plant and made available to any employee capable of performing the work to be done without training, with preference to employees with the least amount of overtime.
Weekend Overtime. Except in the case of a fortuitous event, an employee who presents herself at work at the request of the Company for scheduled weekend overtime and for whom no work is available, shall be given other bargaining unit work to perform for the duration of the scheduled overtime or shall be paid for the scheduled overtime.
Weekend Overtime. (a) On Tuesday of each week, the Company will post an Availability For Weekend Overtime List. Those employees wishing to work, will sign their names and clock numbers on the List. This list will close Thursday morning. Overtime will be awarded to those eligible individuals who have signed the List. (b) The Company will maintain the Weekly Xxxxxxx Schedule indicating where an employee has worked a shift(s) in place of the employee originally shown (the incumbent) on the Schedule. Where an employee works in place of the incumbent from the beginning of the week until the closure of the Availability For Weekend Overtime List on Thursday morning, such employee will be eligible for available weekend overtime. Where more than one employee worked in the incumbent’s place, the person who worked the greater period of time will be eligible for available weekend overtime. Where two employees worked an equal amount of time in the incumbent’s place, the senior person will be eligible for available weekend overtime. (c) Where an employee is simultaneously eligible for overtime on his regular job and another job, he/she will be required to work on their regular job. (d) Once the need for overtime has been finalized, The Company will post, on Thursday afternoon, the resulting overtime schedule including names of employees working, departments, positions and hours. The Company will correct any errors found as quickly as possible and advise the Union and affected employees of such changes. This will not be construed as any guarantee of work on overtime for any employee. (e) The Company will honour the assigned overtime schedule as posted unless this is not practical due to equipment breakdown, confirmed customer changes or acts of God eg. severe storms, power failures, etc. In such cases, the affected employees will not be eligible to work overtime, and the union will be advised in advance of the cancellation. (f) In the event of absenteeism on the weekend, then the overtime, if needed, will be offered to employees who signed up for the Availability For Weekend Overtime List but are not already scheduled to be working. (g) The Company shall not temporarily transfer employees that have already been awarded overtime positions to fill in for an absent employee. The Company may temporarily transfer an employee for up to two (2) hours only to fill in for an absent employee. The Company will follow the Article 16 procedure when doing so. Weekend Overtime. The Board will endeavour to distribute weekend overtime in a particular school equitably among the full-time employees in that school on a rotating basis.
Weekend Overtime. Saturday and Sunday work shall be compensated for at the time and one-half rate of pay, provided that Saturday and Sunday are not part of the employee's regularly scheduled work week.
Weekend Overtime. To be eligible to work weekend overtime, employees must sign an overtime sign-up sheet located in their home department production office. The Company will not be required to canvass employees for any weekend overtime opportunities. 1. Employees in the classification who sign up will be eligible for eight (8) hours based on seniority in the classification and shift. 2. When vacancies occur in the schedule after number 1 above, more senior employees in the classification who are not scheduled for their regular shift will be utilized from the list of employee who signed up for an alternative shift. 3. If vacancies still exist in the schedule after numbers 1 and 2 above, employees who signed up for four (4) hour extensions on the weekend sign-up roster will be utilized in order of seniority by classification. 4. If vacancies still exist after numbers 1, 2 and 3 above, management can utilize anyone out of classification that signed the weekend overtime roster who is capable of performing the work. To be eligible for weekend overtime, employees must sign up prior to the end of their shift on Wednesday of that week. When signing up for weekend overtime, the employee must specify which classifications they are available to work on that weekend. There will be one weekend overtime roster for Saturday and Sunday. If an employee who has signed up to work a weekend reports off, the Company will call the next employee on the overtime sign-up sheet. A weekend call-in will not be penalized for working unscheduled weekends. In the event that employees cannot be contacted by telephone at home the Company will utilize whatever qualified help is available in the plant. Employees signing up for weekend overtime will be considered qualified if they have either held the job recently and/or are capable of performing the job in a satisfactory manner. After the above overtime procedure has been exhausted and openings still exist the Company will require employees to work overtime to satisfy our customer needs. The Company will require the employees in that classification who have worked the least amount of overtime opportunities during the last six (6) month period.
Weekend Overtime. The same procedure as stay-back and call-in overtime. The day shift from the schedule preceding the weekend overtime will be asked first for Saturday overtime, the afternoon shift will be asked first for Sunday overtime, and the night shift will be asked first for Friday night overtime. For clarity, Friday overtime means hours worked during the period from Friday at 11:00 p.m. to Saturday at 7:00 a.m. To clarify and to better govern the fair distribution of weekend overtime Employees working steady days will be tagged to a specific shift, A or B, and regular overtime will apply. Should, by chance, a rush order come through late on a Friday, the Company will not be precluded from requesting the afternoon shift to work the necessary weekend overtime first.
