Sick Leave Bank Purpose. A voluntary sick leave bank shall be established for the benefit of all certified staff members who elect to join the Sick Leave Bank. The Sick Leave Bank shall be used for the purpose of providing a bank of days upon which members of the Sick Leave Bank may draw in case of extended illness of the certified staff member. The following rules shall govern the operation of the sick leave bank.
Sick Leave Bank Purpose. To provide a bank of sick days from which members may draw in case of catastrophic and/or extended illness. The Sick Leave Bank is not to be confused with the Sick Leave Sharing Policy, these are two completely different policies with both having their own rules and guidelines.
Sick Leave Bank Purpose. The Sick Leave Bank is for participating members of the bargaining unit who have a long-term continuous absence necessitated by a serious illness, disability, or accident of the employee.
Sick Leave Bank Purpose. The purpose of this section is to provide additional sick leave to those staff members who are ill and whose sick leave is exhausted. On July 1, of each school year, the School Committee will deposit one hundred (100) days in the Sick Leave Bank. On June 30th of each year, the balance remaining in the Sick Leave Bank will cease and a new Bank will be funded as of the following July 1. Sick Leave Bank Purpose. Each certificated employee of the District may participate in the Sick Leave Bank. To participate, each employee shall contribute a prescribed number of his/her earned sick leave days as determined by the Sick Leave Bank Committee. The contributed sick leave days shall form a fund of sick leave days that will be available to all eligible participating certificated employees upon decision of the Sick Leave Bank Committee for the purpose of alleviating the hardship caused by the absence from work necessitated by extended or recurring illness which extends beyond the employee's accumulated sick and personal leave days.
