Teacher Absence. L11.13.01 The Board shall provide an Occasional Teacher when a Teacher is absent for reasons authorized by the Collective Agreement (i.e., absence codes) or for the purpose of Board-approved professional development or training.

The CONTRACTOR shall elect to reschedule the related service session consistent with Section 40 and 56 related services of this contract.
Teacher Absence. When a teacher is absent on a leave of absence, normal procedure will be to hire a substitute for that teacher for the duration of the leave. The Association will be notified of any exceptions to this procedure.

Year Long Courses - Should approved paid absences arise that would cause a teacher to miss at least thirty-three (33) days, from the first day of school through March 1st, then the data gathered from the Vendor Assessments, Value Added and/or Student Learning Objectives shall not be used to determine the teacher’s final evaluation. Semester Courses - Should approved paid absences arise that would cause a teacher to miss at least sixteen (16) days, from the first day of school through the end of the first semester, then the data gathered from the vendor assessment , Value Added and/or Student Learning Objectives shall not be used to determine the teacher’s final evaluation. Quarterly Courses (held either 2nd or 3rd quarters) Should approved paid absences arise that would cause a teacher to miss at least eight (8) days in either quarter, then the data gathered from the Vendor Assessment , Value Added and/or Student Learning Objectives shall not be used to determine the teacher’s final evaluation.
