Temporary/Seasonal Employee. Any individual employed on a temporary or seasonal basis, as determined by the Employer, who shall be employed for no longer than a six (6) month period. If such an employee is hired as a result of an approved leave of absence or worker’s compensation leave, the temporary/seasonal employee shall be employed for the term of the leave of absence. Such employee shall not be represented by this Union, and shall not be entitled to any benefits outlined in this Labor Agreement.
Temporary/Seasonal Employee. An employee hired on a temporary basis, as designated by the Employer, in a position that has little prospect for continued employment. Such employee shall earn the salary rate established by the County Board for temporary employees, not to exceed the starting rate for the classification set forth in Appendix A, and shall not receive any other benefits.

Temporary/Seasonal Employee. A non-unit employee assigned to full-time or part-time service who is working on a temporary job and who will ordinarily be laid off when the work is complete or funding is no longer available. The Town reserves the right to hire temporary/seasonal employees at a rate lower than the lowest rate of any regular employee for roadside vegetation control and other unskilled work. Such employees will work only during the regular working hours of the Department of Public Works Division and will not replace or supplement any regular Department of Public Works employees on overtime assignments unless Union members are not available.
Temporary/Seasonal Employee. A temporary/seasonal employee is an employee hired to augment the work force and work for a specific project or time period that works on a full-time or part-time basis and whose employment position will last no longer than one thousand forty (1040) hours of work in any one calendar year. Temporary/seasonal employees shall not be covered by the terms of this agreement. Temporary/seasonal employees shall not be used to replace laid off regular full-time or regular part-time employees.
Temporary/Seasonal Employee. An employee who has been hired to fill a temporary or seasonal position. Such temporary/seasonal position may be for the same job duties or similar job duties as a regular employee; however, a temporary/seasonal assignment may not exceed 1,040 hours in duration. Should it be determined by the City Manager, a Temporary/Seasonal position may be extended for an additional 1,040 hours, however, in no case shall the total duration of a Temporary/Seasonal position, including the initial appointment and any extension, exceed a total of 2,080 hours.

Temporary/Seasonal Employee. This is an employee who is hired for a preset time as defined by Civil Service law. Employees hired on a temporary or seasonal basis will not be entitled to health insurance, leave benefits, or holidays except as noted below and required by law. These employees will not be eligible for holiday pay in their first term of employment. Employees that return for consecutive temporary appointments within the same department or position will be eligible for holidays that falls within their term.
Temporary/Seasonal Employee. A temporary/seasonal employee is one who is hired for a specific period of time, not to exceed 600 hours or hours worked as defined by the Wisconsin Retirement System or to perform work on a specific project, and who will be separated from the payroll at the end of such period or project. A temporary /seasonal employee who exceeds 600 hours shall be considered a regular full- time or regular part-time employee. Student employees who work not more than 4 seasons shall be considered temporary/seasonal employees.

  • Temporary Employee Employees may be hired for a specific term not to exceed six (6) months, to replace an employee who will be on approved leave of absence, absence due to WSIB disability, sick leave, long term disability or to perform a special non-recurring task. This term may be extended a further six (6) months on mutual agreement of the Union, employee and Hospital or by the Hospital on its own up to twelve (12) months where the leave of the person being replaced extends that far. The period of employment of such persons will not exceed the absentee's leave. The release or discharge of such persons shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. This clause would not preclude such employees from using the job posting provision under the collective agreement and any successful applicant who has completed his probation period will be credited with the appropriate seniority. The Hospital will outline to employees selected to fill such temporary vacancies and the Union, the circumstances giving rise to the vacancy, and the special conditions relating to such employment.

  • Seasonal Employee Seasonal employee" means an employee who is appointed for no more than ten months during any 12 consecutive months but who is expected to return to work year after year.

  • Temporary Employment 15.4.1 A temporary employee will be an employee who is engaged on either a full or part-time basis to work in a position which is temporary in nature for a specified period of time and/or for a specific project, task or tasks. 15.4.2 A respondent will not dispense with a permanent position for the purpose of creating temporary position(s).

  • Temporary Employees 3.3.1 A temporary employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work assignment which is not ongoing (i.e. normally 12 months or less and not extending beyond 24 months). The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A. Members shall be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year. Such days of temporary leave must be taken as either one-half (1/2) or one (1) full working day. No personal leaves of absence shall be taken immediately prior to or immediately after holidays or vacations. Any exceptions must be requested in writing to the Superintendent or his designee and must have written approval. 1. Members are entitled to three (3) days personal leave annually subject to advance notice and approval secured from the Superintendent or designee. Personal leave means an activity that requires the member’s presence during the working day and is of such a nature that it cannot be attended to at a time when schools are not in session. Unused personal days shall be transferred to accumulated sick leave time on July 1st each year of this Agreement and all succeeding Agreements. 2. Up to five (5) working days at any one time shall be granted to members in the event of death of a member’s spouse, child, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, or any person with whom the member has made his/her home, and any other member of the immediate household. 3. In the case of the death of a near relative, defined as first cousin, uncle, aunt, niece or nephew, there shall be no deduction from personal leave entitlement of up to three (3) days, subject to advance notice to and approval of the Superintendent. 4. A member shall also be granted a reasonable amount of bereavement time with full pay for the purpose of travel in cases where the funeral is out of state. Such time off is subject to the approval of the Assistant Superintendent to whom the member is reportable. 5. Any other leave of absence granted by the Board may be without pay. 6. No leave of absence with pay shall be granted due to the requirements of a second job. 7. Professional leave for such purposes as attending meetings, seminars and visiting other schools may be granted. 8. If a member is subpoenaed by a court of law to appear on behalf of the Board, such member shall do so without loss of pay.

  • Temporary Disability Leave Upon application, and approval by the school employer, a temporary disability leave of absence shall be granted to teachers of this school corporation on the following basis:

  • Seasonal Employees Seasonal employees still on trial service should refer to Article 71, Sections 2 and 3 regarding salary increases.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing. B. A temporary layoff will not affect an employee’s incremental movement, vacation and sick leave accrual rates, or seniority. C. A temporary layoff is leave without pay. An employee may not use any leave for a temporary layoff day(s).
