Unit Representatives. A. The Union may designate a reasonable number of Unit Representatives who shall be members of this Unit, and shall provide the CAO, and all departments, offices, or bureaus with a written list of employees who have been so designated.
B. The duties and responsibilities of the Unit Representatives shall be limited to the recruitment of new members, to the posting of Union material in accordance with the provisions of Article 2.2, Bulletin Boards, and such other related duties as may be assigned by the Union.
C. It is mutually understood that these activities shall not be performed during working hours of the Unit Representative(s) or the employees to be contacted.
Unit Representatives. Full-Time Only
(a) In reference to Article 6.02 (a), there shall be seven (7) Nurse Representatives. Either the Hospital or the Union may request a review of the number of Nurse Representatives, and by mutual agreement, the number of representatives may be increased or decreased.
(b) There shall be three (3) Nurse Representatives.
Unit Representatives. The Union shall select Employee Unit Representatives from the bargaining unit to function as Unit Representatives. The Union Representatives shall not be recognized by the Employer until the Union has given the Employer written notice of the selection and scope of their authority. The Union agrees to provide the Employer with a list of designated Employee Unit Representatives within thirty (30) days following the date of ratification of this Agreement and will promptly notify the Employer of any changes to designated Employee Unit Representatives. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer, the investigation of grievances and other Union business shall be conducted only during non‐working times, and shall not interfere with the work of other employees.
Unit Representatives. There shall be eighteen (18) Unit Representatives as provided for in Article 6.02 (a). These eighteen (18) Unit Representatives will provide coverage for units within the Hospital as well as those units that are “off-site”. PROGRAMS REPRESENTATIVE Mental Health

Unit Representatives. LPNs shall have the right to elect unit representatives from among LPNs in the unit. The Local Unit Representative shall not be recognized by the Hospital until the Union has given the Hospital written notice of the selection which would occur within seven (7) days from date of selection. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Hospital, the investigation of grievances and other Union business shall only be conducted during the nonworking time of all LPNs involved. LPNs shall suffer no loss of pay if required to attend grievance meetings with Hospital representatives while on duty status.

The Union shall give the Employer written notice as to the current unit representatives and future replacements. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer, the investigation of grievances and other union business shall be conducted only during the nonworking time of all employees involved. Employees shall suffer no loss of pay if required to attend grievance meetings with Employer representatives while on duty status.
Unit Representatives. There shall be one (1) nurse representative from the following Units: - Complex Continuing Care - Emergency and Regional Assault Care Program (RACP) - Medical, Surgical, Special Care Unit - Operating Room, Day Care and Oncology - Dialysis If a nurse representative is transferred from one area to another, such nurse shall continue to be recognized by the Hospital as the Unit representative of the area from which they are transferred for up to one month for matters from that Unit unless notified otherwise by the Bargaining Unit President, except if transferred into a managerial position.
Unit Representatives. 9.1 It is accepted and understood that Bectu unit representatives may be elected or appointed from time to time. Unit representatives will be given reasonable facilities to enable them to represent the interests of Workers in connection with the work for which they are engaged. Subject to obtaining the Producer’s prior consent to attend which shall not to be unreasonably withheld, Bectu officials will be provided with reasonable facilities to allow meetings with members during break periods and will comply with the Producer’s reasonable directions and/or requests. Any such meetings shall take place in a manner that does not involve disruption and /or interruption of work.
9.2 Officials may be required to sign confidentiality agreements when seeking access to closed sets or other sensitive sites. Reasonable facilities will be offered for Workers who are Union members to meet in connection with the work for which they are engaged. Such meetings will normally take place outside working hours without interruption of work.

2.5.1 Employee unit representatives or Union Representative may meet with new hires for a period of up to one-half (1/2) hour at the end of the Hospital's orientation. If the employer reimplements in-person orientation, they shall reimplement the practice of notifying employees that a union representative is waiting in a designated area. Attendance shall be voluntary and shall be on the unpaid time of the Unit Representative and new hire. The Employer will provide a list of all newly hired employees to the Union a prior to the first day of new employee orientation.
Unit Representatives. For the disposition of grievances, and for the purposes of negotiations, there will be one (1) Custodian person, plus (1) Maintenance persons, and (1) alternate committee persons. The Chairperson and each Committee person will act as the Association Representative in a designated area of responsibility.
