Vacation and Public Holidays. In the case of a Public Holiday falling on or observed on a regular work day while an employee is on annual vacation, the employee shall be granted an extra day in lieu of such holiday.

Vacation and Public Holidays. The Employee shall be entitled to four (4) weeks paid vacation per year of employment (accrued on a monthly basis) provided that the Employee shall schedule such vacation time with the agreement of the CEO and shall use his best efforts to schedule such vacation time so as not to substantially interfere with the Employer’s business. Vacation must be taken within 24 months of the date upon which such vacation accrued to the Employee, and any vacation not taken by such date shall be forfeited subject to the requirements of the Ontario Employment Standards Act. The Employee shall also be entitled to take all paid public holidays customarily extended by the Employer to executive employees of the Employer.
Vacation and Public Holidays. 10.01 The Employer agrees to pay public holiday pay and vacation pay and to increase on the basis of length of service, on an employee’s anniversary date, as set out in the table below. Vacation and Public Holidays. 10.01 The Employer agrees to pay vacation pay as described below. Vacation pay shall be calculated as a percentage of, and in addition to an employee’s hourly wage rate. For employees whose length of service is: a. Less than three (3) years = 4% b. Three (3) years but less than five (5) = 6% c. Five (5) years or greater = 8% 10.02 Vacation periods shall be arranged by mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee. Vacation requests submitted prior to March 30th shall, subject to the operational requirements of the Employer, be granted on the basis of seniority. Thereafter, requests shall be considered on a first come first served basis. Vacation requests made after March 30th shall generally be submitted two (2) weeks in advance. The Employer shall grant or deny such vacation requests within one week of receiving a vacation request from an employee. The Employer shall grant vacation requests insofar as is practicable, having regard to the exigencies of the Employer’s business. 10.03 The following days shall be recognized as Public Holidays: 10.04 An employee shall be eligible for Holiday Pay for each of the above days provided that the employee has worked in the fifteen (15) workdays preceding the holiday, and that the employee is not absent without cause or permission, the day immediately preceding and day following the public holiday. Holiday Pay shall be calculated as the regular number of hours normally worked in a day as per Article 9.02, multiplied by the employee’s wage rate plus vacation pay. 10.05 An employee required to work on a day listed in Article 10.03 shall receive Holiday Premium Pay which shall be calculated as one and one-half times (1½x) the employee’s regular hourly rate for all time worked. In the event of a service call on a day listed in Article 10.03, the employee shall be paid two (2) times the hourly rate for such hours. Such hours shall not be included when determining the total number of regular hours worked in a week. 10.06 For a week in which a public holiday falls, the overtime threshold for that week shall be thirty-six (36) hours.

Vacation not used in any calendar year shall be deemed surrendered and shall have no monetary value. Any vacation not taken by such date shall be forfeited subject to the requirements of the Ontario Employment Standards Act. The Employee shall also be entitled to take all paid public holidays customarily extended by the Employer to executive employees of the Employer. Notwithstanding, Vacation days accrued in any given year may be carried over to the following year with the written permission of the Chief Financial Officer. In the event the Company implements a vacation policy or similar, such policy shall supersede the terms of this Agreement.
Vacation and Public Holidays. Effective the date of ratification of this Memorandum of Agreement, the Employer and the Union agree to amend Article 8 – Vacation and Public Holidays, 8.6 Public Holidays to read as follows: “All Regular Full-Time Employees who have been employed thirty (30) calendar days on a full-time appointment, providing they work the full scheduled working day before and the full scheduled working day after the public holiday, unless on sick leave, Workers' Compensation Board benefits or vacation, shall be given time off for the following public holidays at regular pay: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, British Columbia Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and any other day proclaimed by the Federal and/or Provincial Government. Provided, however, if a holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday and no day is proclaimed in their stead, then such holidays shall be added to the next annual vacation of each employee.”
Vacation and Public Holidays. (1) The Secondee is entitled to any UK public holidays falling during the term of the secondment. The Secondee shall take his vacation entitlement at times agreed with the CEO. The Secondee shall be entitled to 30 Working Days holiday in every calendar year. (2) Any entitlement to vacation remaining at the end of any calendar year may be carried forward to the next calendar year but no further. The entitlement to vacation (and on termination of employment to accrued but unused vacation) accrues pro rata throughout each calendar year (disregarding fractions of days).
