Academics. A student-athlete must meet school and DPI requirements defining a full-time student and have received no more than one failing grade (including incompletes) in the most recent school issued grade reporting period. Note: Some member schools adopt code and academic policies and other participation requirements which are more stringent than WIAA minimum requirements. In those instances, the school’s requirements prevail and must be applied as written.

Academics. 1. An individual must hold at least a bachelor’s degree with proper certification/licensure for the position to be held. Such employee shall be placed on the Bachelor or Equivalent Lane of the salary schedule.
Academics. The Sponsor understands and agrees that while the School provides an Independent Study system that can allow the student to accelerate their completion of courses and academic competency; the School course completion is not awarded by time in class, but only for work completed and competency achieve. Therefore, the Sponsors understand and agree that the School cannot ensure, nor be liable, for how quickly the student will complete courses, or that the student will complete courses in any certain subjects, or that the student will complete courses on any kind of accelerated basis, or that the student will even complete any courses at all. Sponsors also understand that since Red River Academy is a private school and the academic courses are part of an Independent Study program, all of the teachers/tutors working with the students may not need or have the same credentials as a public school teacher. The Sponsors further understand that any specialized or individualized tutoring, if available, may result in additional costs or charges to the Sponsor (Any such tutoring would be approved by the Sponsors in advance). Sponsors understand that the ultimate acceptance of any course work, credit or diploma is the prerogative of each individual school district, college or university. Sponsors understand and agree that the School makes no promises or guarantees concerning results, proficiencies, testing, accreditations, teacher credentials, credits, diplomas, course offerings, time in class, or teacher student ratios as these things may and do change from time to time.

Academics. A student that has a grade that falls below a 73% will be required to attendExtra Help” sessions with his/her Learning Facilitators. Students earning less than a 70% in multiple courses will be ineligible for athletic participation and will be required to withdraw from the activity until the average in those classes improves to a 75% or above. The Upper School Principal will determine when a student is eligible to resume athletic participation. An athlete must maintain a full course load, a minimum of six classes which constitute a challenging academic program. Only the first eight semesters will count towards the student’s G.P.A.
Academics. Report Cards The school year consists of two approximately 18-week semesters divided into four nine-week reporting periods. Students receive a report card at the end of each reporting period. Report cards should be given to parents or guardians for examination. Parents are to sign the report card before it is returned to school. Parents are urged to contact the teacher at any time with questions regarding their student’s progress.
Academics. You must have earned, the preceding semester of attendance, a minimum of 3.0 units of credit or have earned credit in 80% of the maximum allowable classes in which any student can be enrolled in the semester, whichever is GREATER, at your school. For your current semester, you must be enrolled in and regularly attending courses that offer 3.0 units of credit or 80% of the maximum allowable credits which may be earned at your school, whichever is GREATER. Credits earned or completed after the close of the semester will not fulfill this requirement. Summer high school courses for FALL academic eligibility may count provided the course is necessary for graduation or promotion or is a core subject course, and credit is placed on the school transcript. No more than one unit of credit in summer school shall be counted toward fall eligibility. Students promoted for the first time into 9th grade are considered academically eligible for the first semester after promotion. Do not drop courses without first consulting with your school principal, athletic director or counselor to determine whether doing so will affect your eligibility. Note: For Carthage High School students, the 80% threshold is passing 7 of 8 classes totaling 3.5 credits earned per semester. In addition, CHS students must be currently enrolled in classes offering, at a minimum, 3.5 credits. Grades 7-8 You must be enrolled in a normal course load for your grade at the member school. You will be ineligible if you failed more than one class the previous grading period. You must have been promoted to a higher grade prior to the first day of classes for the new school year. Students promoted for the first time into 7th grade are considered academically eligible for the first grading period after promotion.
