Additional Work Assignments. Employees who are temporarily not needed to do their usual existing work may be required to perform other work for which they are qualified, with the objective of utilizing all available manpower effectively and economically. When all things are equal (such as, availability, qualifications, continuity) seniority will be the deciding factor for the assignment. Supervision will notify the appropriate Union representative when making assignments.
Additional Work Assignments. Any permanent employee who is regularly assigned to a unit and who is also assigned similar level on an hourly basis during days in unpaid service, shall be compensated at his/her current rate of pay, and shall accrue benefits, including holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave. This section shall also apply for work performed on all non-calendar workdays scheduled in the employee’s regular assignment. This assignment is not intended to increase the number of months of the employee’s assignment.
Additional Work Assignments. Employees shall be offered overtime/extra time opportunities on the basis of seniority within their classification of work (head custodians shall be included in the custodial classification). Employees shall be offered overtime/extra time opportunities on the basis of seniority within their building first and then seniority within the classification. Overtime/extra time shall not be offered to a substitute until an attempt has been made to offer it to every employee within the classification, except in case of emergency. All overtime/extra time must be approved in advance by the employee's direct supervisor. In the event all employees within the classification decline the overtime/extra time opportunity, the supervisor may assign the work to an employee within that classification. All overtime/extra time must be approved in advance by the employee's direct supervisor.
Additional Work Assignments. When work normally and customarily performed by bargaining unit employees is required to be performed at times other than during the regular school academic year, or beyond the regular work day, the work shall be assigned to bargaining unit employees serving in the appropriate classification(s).
Additional Work Assignments a. Except as otherwise provided in this article, all extra driving, such as field trips and after-practice trips, will be offered to all regular drivers prior to other employees. Extra driving will be assigned on a rotational basis according to seniority, ability, qualifications and safety factors. Drivers of kindergarten routes will not be permitted to substitute an extra trip in lieu of their kindergarten route. Drivers of regular afternoon routes will not be allowed to substitute extra trips in lieu of their regular afternoon routes.
Additional Work Assignments. The salary of teachers employed in summer school as extended year teachers, after school remediation or to teach a seventh period core class as defined by Florida Course Code Directory, Appendix S, shall be paid at their regular hourly rate.
Additional Work Assignments. Additional work assignments (extended 2 hours, overtime, weekend and holiday work, field trips, summer work, 3 etc.) shall be made available to employees on a rotating basis in order of 4 seniority within the department or school concerned, provided the 5 employee is qualified and available to perform the work involved, and it 6 does not interfere with the completion of work or a project that another 7 employee has started. The seniority list and rotation of assignments of 8 additional work shall be posted for employees.

29 2. A trip, not requiring the driver to remain at the destination, may be 30 scheduled and assigned from workweek rotational lists for the drop- 31 off and pick-up of passengers.
32 3. All 12-month transportation employees shall not be placed on any 33 workweek field trip rotation list. They are not to be assigned to any 34 workweek trips, unless a trip assignment is due to the needs of the 35 department.
Additional Work Assignments. College needs may necessitate that additional work assignments be created. These additional work assignments are in addition to the Adjunct Faculty member’s teaching assignment.
1. Compensation for bargaining unit members for a work assignment shall be paid at a rate of $22.00 per hour. College Policy 6Hx2-3.07 prevails in specifying the combined maximum hours an Adjunct may be engaged in work activities for teaching and additional work assignments.
a. An exception to this provision is payment to Adjunct Faculty who are also Lab Assistants. These Lab Assistants will continue to earn their current hourly rate as of July 15, 2022.
Additional Work Assignments. Additional work assignments for transportation employees, such as field trips or activity trips, may become available over the course of the 178 day school year. If the trip is not assigned based on geographic proximity, drivers will e offered the trip on a rotating basis. All trip assignments will be tracked in the field trip management software made available to the drivers. The District may override this process at any time based on operational need. All transportation employees who submit a written request within the first 60 days of employment will be offered training on the use of the fieldtrip management software. Employees who are interested in being eligible for more additional work assignments or need assistance in understanding their participation in the rotation system are encouraged to consult their supervisor.
