BASE CLOSURE. 47-2.01 The Company agrees to formally notify the Union ninety (90) Calendar Days before the anticipated base closure date, in writing, prior to closing any active base. 47-2.02 The Company and the Union recognize the value of meeting prior to a base closure occurring. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss options to minimize the impact on affected Cabin Personnel, discuss how the process of reduction will take place, and review the current Master Seniority List. 47-2.03 In the event of a base closure, Cabin Personnel may be required by the Company to transfer to another base, based on the Master Seniority List. This transfer and any relocation costs will be in accordance with the Article 48 – Relocation.

BASE CLOSURE. In the event of a base closure the Employer will notify the union and employees as soon as possible. The Employer will provide a minimum of sixty (60) days’ notice for the closing of a base outside Washington State and a minimum of six (6) weeks’ notice for the closing of a base inside Washington State. The employees will be laid off in order of seniority using the following process: A. a bump pool of nurses working in ALNW positions equal to the number of nurses being laid off as a result of the base closure will be developed. The bump pool will consist of the least senior nurses working throughout the Airlift Northwest system. B. in order of seniority, nurses from the base being closed will be offered the opportunity to displace any junior nurse in the bump pool. C. nurses who choose not to displace a junior nurse from the bump pool and nurses for whom there is no displacement option will be placed on the Airlift Northwest rehire list and will have full rehire rights in accordance with Article 38 – Seniority, Layoff, Rehire. D. Nurses displaced as a result of (A) above, will be placed on the rehire list and will not have the opportunity to displace a less senior nurse.

BASE CLOSURE. (a) Prior to the closure of a base the Company shall provide the President of the Local with as much notice as possible, but in no event will such notice be less than thirty (30) calendar days, outlining the number, names, status and seniority of employees who will be affected and the expected date of the closure. (b) Employees employed at a base which is to be closed shall have options as outlined in Article 11.02 (c) (ii), (iii), (iv), (v). An employee who elects the severance option will be eligible one pass for each completed year of service. (c) An employee who has received notice of a base closure must advise the Company with respect to her/his choice of options provided in Article 11.02 or 11.03 above within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of such notice of lay-off. The employee may be required to report to her/his new position within twenty-one (21) calendar days following the date of acceptance of her/his choice of options.
BASE CLOSURE. Workdays on which the base is closed are non-workdays for leave purposes as designated by the installation commander. All employees who earn leave, except those required to perform emergency duties, are excused without charge to leave. Employees in a non-pay status on the days immediately before and after the days the activity closed, are excluded. Employees on approved leave, i.e., annual, sick, LWOP, etc., when operations are suspended continue to be charged leave. Administrative leave is not applicable.
