Base Rates of Pay. 13.1 Base rates of pay payable after commencement of this Agreement are set out in Attachment A Schedule 1. These are the rates payable if all increases envisaged under this Agreement are achieved. If any rates are not achieved or are only partially achieved, the rates set out in Attachment A Schedule 1 will need to be discounted in accordance with clause 11.

b. The weekly wage rate equivalent above is for information only – where any difference exists between the hourly rate and the weekly rate (for example, due to rounding), the hourly rate will prevail.
c. Casual team members will be paid the base rate of pay plus a casual loading of 25% for all hours worked. This 25% loading is instead of paid leave (with the exception of paid long service leave). A casual team member is not entitled to be paid a penalty on a penalty, and the rates set out in the penalty rates table in clause 6.3 are inclusive of the 25% casual loading.

A. All future new hires and promotions between classifications and skill levels will start at the entry rate. If the company transfers an employee back to a Classification they have held prior, the employee will resume their place in the progression when they left that classification.
B. The entry level base rate for new hires will be at 90% of the maximum. In increments of one thousand (1,000) hours worked in their classification, but no sooner than six (6) months, the personnel affected will be adjusted to 92 1/2%, 95%, 97 1/2% and 100% respectively of the classification maximum.
C. Helper 1 not subject to progression, starts at 100%.
D. For employees promoted to a higher classification, the entry level base rate will be 95% of the maximum. In increments of one thousand (1,000) hours worked in their classification, but no sooner than six (6) months, the personnel affected will be adjusted to 97.5% and 100%, respectively of the classification maximum. Base Rates of Pay. 7.1 The base rate of pay is the rate of pay that is applicable where a permanent employee works the ordinary hours of work applicable to that employee and is not eligible for payment of shift penalties.
7.2 The base rates of pay payable under this Agreement are specified in Schedule 1.
7.3 The base rates of pay in Schedule 1 include the following pay increases:
(a) an initial 3 per cent pay increase for all classifications from the Commencement Date;
(b) an additional 2 per cent pay increase for the Combination Driver classification from the Commencement Date;
(c) 4.5 per cent pay increase from the Commencement Date calculated after the initial pay increases in (a) and (b);
(d) 3.5 per cent from 12 months after the Commencement Date for the Rigid, Road Train and General Hand classifications;
(e) approximately 5.1 per cent from 12 months after the Commencement Date for the Combination Driver classification (actual rates as specified in Schedule 1);
(f) 3 per cent for the Rigid Driver, Road Train Driver and General Hand classifications; and
(g) approximately 6.0 per cent for the Combination Driver classification from 24 months after the Commencement Date (actual rates as specified in Schedule 1).
7.4 Where other drivers employed by Shell Logistics in Queensland, whose pay rates are determined by a collective workplace agreement, are paid a higher base rate of pay compared with drivers covered by this Agreement as at, or subsequent to, 24 months after the Commencement Date, Shell Logistics will increase the rates of pay for those drivers to match those payable to the drivers covered by the other collective workplace agreement.
7.5 The following bonus payments will be paid to all employees employed by Shell Logistics at the Commencement Date in recognition of the agreement to remove the common hourly rate:
(a) $1,300 for the Rigid Driver and General Hand classifications; and
(b) $1,600 for the Combination Driver classification;
(c) $1,800 for the Road Train Driver classification.
7.6 The base rates of pay specified in Schedule 1:
(a) do not include any overtime components or shift allowances; and
(b) do include the value of other non-expense related allowances that would be otherwise payable under the Award.
