Declared Holidays. Every day declared by the President, the Governor, the County Superintendent of Schools, or the Governing Board as a day of public fast, Thanksgiving, or holiday requiring the closing of the facilities, shall be additional holidays provided that the President, or the Governor also make such dates paid holidays for federal and state employees.
Declared Holidays. The following days shall be considered as holidays: New Year's Day Civic Holiday Good Friday Remembrance Day Labour Day Anniversary Date of Hire Canada Day Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Boxing Day Christmas Eve Family Day Christmas Day The Company shall grant to all employees, pay for the above mentioned holidays. When the employee is not required to work, the Company shall grant to the employee one (1) day's pay equal to eight (8) hours at his regular rate. When the full-time or part-time employee is required to work on their Anniversary Day, Civic Holiday, Boxing Day and Christmas Eve and Remembrance Day, he will be paid one (1) day's pay eight (8) hours plus the hours worked, subject to Article 18.04. When the full time or part time employee is required to work on the Civic Holiday, Boxing Day, Christmas Eve and Remembrance Day, he will be paid one (1) day’s pay eight (8) hours plus the hours worked, subject to Article 18.04. When the full time or part time employee is required to work on his Anniversary Day he will be paid for the hours worked, subject to Article 18.04 and he will be entitled to another day off in the month in which his Anniversary Day occurs and said day will be scheduled with the agreement of his Department Head and such agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld. When an full time or part time employee is required to work on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Victoria day, Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, he will be paid eight (8) hours plus time and one-half for the hours work performed that given day. When the holidays occur during the employee's vacation, the employee shall be entitled to one (1) extra day's pay, or one (1) extra day vacation at his choice. In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must satisfy the eligibility requirements set out in the Employment Standards Act (2000). Subject to the foregoing, an employee who is laid off will receive any declared holidays which occur within ten (10) days of the day of lay- off, except for those holidays which fall in December when eligibility shall be within seven (7) days of lay-off.

Those employees who are employed as Fire Prevention, Training or Emergency Planning personnel are entitled to a holiday with pay on the following Statutory Holidays: New Year's Day, B.C. Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, British Columbia Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and any other day proclaimed by the Corporation or by the Federal or British Columbia Governments to be a public holiday.

If the holiday is established by the President, Governor, or District as a recurring holiday and if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday in succeeding years, it shall be taken on the workday preceding the holiday when it falls on Saturday and shall be taken on the workday succeeding the holiday when it falls on Sunday.

Declared Holidays. Every day declared by the President or by the Governor of the State as a holiday, or any day declared by the Governing Board of the District under Education Code Sections 79021 shall be a paid holiday for unit members.
Declared Holidays. The City Manager shall be entitled to the same eleven (11) holidays each fiscal year as set by the City Council in Resolution No. 17-126 and under the same terms as provided to the Unrepresented Employee group.

22.04 If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday the preceding Friday or the following Monday will be observed as the holiday. An employee required to work on any of the above-named holidays shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 l/2) his regular straight time hourly rate in addition to his
22.05 An employee shall be paid for the holiday provided he works his first scheduled shift prior to the holiday, unless the employee was unable to work because of proven illness or accident, authorized leave of absence or lay- off, and such absence or lay-off began not more than ten (10) working days prior to the holiday.
22.06 In the event that one or more of the above- named holidays occurs during the employee's vacation he shall be paid for the holiday in addition to his vacation pay, and be given an extra day off either at the beginning of his vacation period or at the end of it.
Declared Holidays. The parties are agreed that the outlined herein may be extended by mutual agreement in writing. grievance is not processed the limits set forth by the Company, it shall automatically proceed to the next step procedure.
