Departmental. 1. The first employee to be laid off shall be the employee within the department with the least University seniority in the grade level where the layoff is to occur.
Departmental. An employee who has a grievance shall first present same in writing to their immediate supervisor within five (5) working days from the date of the occurrence which has given rise to the grievance. The employee will be accompanied by a Union Xxxxxxx, at a reasonable time to be fixed by the supervisor. The supervisor may be accompanied, if the supervisor so wishes, by the Manager of Internal Services. The supervisor’s written answer, summarizing the nature of the grievance and the supervisor’s response, shall be given within five (5) working days of the matter being discussed.

In this option an employee will exercise their seniority against the employee with the lowest seniority within their department in any classification available to them through the provisions of Section 9.01. Failing this the affected employee must exercise their seniority against the employee with the lowest seniority in the plant in any classification available to them through the provisions of Section 9.01.
Departmental. When a more desirable or higher rated job becomes vacant or a new job is established within a Department, it shall be filled where possible from within the Department on the basis of qualifications, with preference to employees having the greatest seniority according to the Department Seniority List.
Departmental. In respect of Section 2 if the Business be conducted in departments the independent trading results for which are ascertainable the provisions of clauses (a) and (b) of Item 1. Gross Profit including Increase in Costs of Working – Declaration Linked Basis shall apply separately to each department affected by the Incident except that if the Declared Value by the said Item be less than the aggregate of the sums produced by applying the Rate of Gross Profit for each department of the business (whether affected by the Incident or not) to its relative annual Turnover (or to a proportionately increased multiple thereof where the Maximum Indemnity Period exceeds twelve months) the amount payable shall be proportionately reduced.
Departmental. INVESTIGATIONS In an effort to insure that departmental investigations are conducted in a manner which is conducive to good order and discipline, the following rules are hereby adopted:

An employee will be deemed to be qualified if, after receiving the standard allotment of time as set out in the Training Reference Guide (TRG) for the job, he/she can reasonably perform the minimum requirements of the job. All jobs must have a TRG, with the exception of the Maintenance department. The Company and the Union will meet, discuss and mutually consent on the training period of all TRGs for an employee to be deemed qualified.
Departmental. The Departmental Rules and Departmental Orders of the Kitchener Fire Department, a copy of which is at present in effect, is hereunto annexed, insofar as they do not conflict with the terms and provisions of the Fire Departments Act of the Province of Ontario, and shall be deemed to constitute a part thereof, and shall be observed by all Full Time Fire Fighters. The breach of any such Departmental Rule or Departmental Order may make the offender liable to disciplinary action. Such Departmental Rules or Departmental Orders may be amended from time to time.
Departmental. Program Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of the Faculty member's performance based on student evaluation, classroom observation and the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty Rights and Responsibility article (Article IX).
