Design Proposal. 2.2.1 The Artist shall carry out such reasonable Site inspections, interviews, and research as may be necessary, including meetings with representatives from Texas Tech in order to prepare a Design Proposal (the “Design Proposal”) for the Work. Texas Tech shall make available to the Artist the necessary background materials and information on matters affecting the Site and installation of the Work including, where applicable, the most recent written requirements and specifications for the Work and the project design documents for the underlying capital project. It is the intent of the Parties that Texas Tech and the Artist shall establish a close and cooperative consultation throughout the duration of this Contract.
Design Proposal. All TEAMS must submit a Design Proposal acceptable to CAFE in order to execute this Agreement. TEAM’s Design Proposal must contain a detailed description of the vehicle design, its innovations and its technology advancement to be demonstrated. The Design Proposal must be accompanied by the signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA, Appendix H) TEAM’s Design Proposal must then be approved and accepted by CAFE in order for TEAM to become eligible to execute this AGREEMENT and participate in the CHALLENGE. Information required in the Design Proposal must include at minimum that found in Appendix G. In the interest of the CHALLENGE goals, which are to develop and disseminate new technologies for community acceptance, environmental protection, efficiency, speed, and vehicle safety, CAFE reserves the right to evaluate and select Design Proposals that best fit these goals. In that selection process, CAFE reserves the right to decline to accept Vehicles that it deems unsafe, of poor quality construction, unlikely to obtain FAA license, of a performance level likely to be below the thresholds required, too similar to any two other entrants, not validly a U.S. team, ineligible due to having been US federally funded or staffed or incompatible with the above stated goals of the competition. CAFE will explain to TEAM LEADER its reason(s) for declining to accept any Design Proposal. TEAMS whose Design Proposal is not accepted may revise and re- submit it. CAFE’s evaluation of the acceptability of TEAM’s Design Proposal may require up to 30 calendar days. Once a TEAM is accepted and officially registered into the CHALLENGE by CAFE according to this Agreement, CAFE shall not remove or “bump” that TEAM from the CHALLENGE in order to make room for any other team. If TEAMS apply for the CHALLENGE after it has filled its maximum number of entries, then entries will be prioritized onto a wait list by CAFE based on their date of submission and the potential impact of their proposed technologies on the CHALLENGE goals. A list of all TEAMs submitting Notice of Interest letters and those officially registered to compete in the 2011 CHALLENGE will be posted on the CAFE website at xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx within 10 days of such submittals and registrations. Those postings will protect the proprietary information of each TEAM in accordance with the NDA. Design Proposal. 1.2.1 The design proposal is Phase One of the design process. As promptly as possible after the execution of this Agreement, a meeting will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in order for the Artist to carry out reasonable site inspections, consultations, interviews and research as may be necessary, including meetings and interviews with the Owner, Project Architect, General Contractor, Art Task Force Committee, and users of the building. The intent of the meeting is to provide the Artist information and input from all affected parties of the Project in order for the Artist to prepare schematic design proposals of the Work (the “Schematic Design Proposal”) based on established project goals. The Owner shall make available to the Artist necessary background materials and information on matters affecting the Project and site including, if applicable, the construction documents for the Project.   • Cost Proposal After the Approved Working Drawings are approved by Landlord and Tenant, and the Contractor and subcontractors have been selected pursuant to Section 4.1 above, Landlord shall provide Tenant with a cost proposal in accordance with the Approved Working Drawings setting forth the reconciled bids and copies of all sub-bids, which cost proposal shall include, as nearly as possible, the cost of all Tenant Improvement Allowance Items to be incurred in connection with the construction of the Tenant Improvements (the "COST PROPOSAL"). The Cost Proposal shall reflect bids that will be priced by Contractor on an individual item-by-item or trade-by-trade basis. Landlord and Tenant shall work together in good faith in an attempt to agree upon a mutually acceptable Cost Proposal as soon as reasonably possible. Notwithstanding the foregoing, portions of the cost of the Tenant Improvements may be delivered to Tenant as such portions of the Tenant Improvements are priced by Contractor (on an individual item-by-item or trade-by-trade basis), even before the Approved Working Drawings are completed (the "PARTIAL COST PROPOSAL") for purposes of facilitating the early purchase of items and construction of the same. Tenant shall approve and deliver the Cost Proposal to Landlord within seven (7) business days of the receipt of the same, or, as to a Partial Cost Proposal within five (5) business days of receipt of the same, and upon receipt of the same by Landlord, Landlord shall be released by Tenant to purchase the items set forth in the Cost Proposal or Partial Cost Proposal, as the case may be, and to commence the construction relating to such items. If Tenant disapproves the Cost Proposal or Partial Cost Proposal, Tenant shall provide Landlord with a reasonably sufficient explanation, and in such event, Landlord and Tenant shall use good faith, diligent efforts to work with each other and Contractor to address Tenant's reasons for disapproving the Cost Proposal or Partial Cost Proposal, whichever is the case and a new Cost Proposal (or Partial Cost Proposal, as applicable) shall be prepared and the process described in this Section 4.2 shall be repeated. The date by which Tenant must approve and deliver the Cost Proposal or the last Partial Cost Proposal to Landlord, as the case may be, shall be known hereafter as the "COST PROPOSAL DELIVERY DATE". The total of all Partial Cost Proposals, if any, shall be known as the Cost Proposal.

  • Bidding and Proposal Phase 1.5.1 In conjunction with the development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price and at other times as appropriate to the Project, the Architect/Engineer shall assist the Owner and Construction Manager by receiving and recording requests for Bid and Request for Proposal (“RFP”) Documents, receiving and resolving questions about Bid and RFP Documents; preparing addenda, issuing addenda, and accounting for addenda issued; attending pre-bid and pre-proposal conferences and HUB meetings; evaluating bids and proposals; and assisting in preparing and awarding multiple contracts for construction. Architect/Engineer shall answer inquiries from bidders and proposers at Owner’s request, and shall prepare and issue any necessary addenda to the bidding or proposal documents.

  • Additional proposals If the Company at any time during the continuance of this Agreement desires to modify expand or otherwise vary its activities carried on pursuant to this Agreement beyond those specified in any approved proposal, it shall give notice of such desire to the Minister and within 2 months after giving such notice shall submit to the Minister detailed proposals in respect of such modifications expansions or variations and such other matters as the Minister may require. The provisions of clause 4 and 5 (including (for the avoidance of doubt) clause 5(9)) shall apply, the necessary changes being made, to proposals submitted pursuant to this clause.

  • Request for Proposal Once the project development stage and joint scope meeting have produced a County approved Detailed Scope of Work, the County will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to the Contractor. The RFP will include the Scope of Work approved by the County and other pertinent information with regards to scheduling, submittals, shop drawings and sketch requirements. The Contractor agrees to prepare and submit a JOC Task Order Proposal of Work.

  • Proposal Work Authorizations The State may issue a proposal work authorization under which the Engineer will submit a proposal for additional work. The proposal must be for additional work that is within the defined scope of work under this contract. The amount to be paid for a proposal work authorization will be a lump sum for each proposal. The lump sum payment will be no less than two percent (2%) and no more than four percent (4%) of the State's estimate of the cost of the additional work. The Engineer may elect without penalty not to submit a proposal in response to a proposal work authorization. Any proposal submitted in response to a proposal work authorization will be the sole property of the State. The State may, at its option, issue similar or identical proposal work authorizations under other contracts, and the proposals submitted in response to the various proposal work authorizations may be compared by the State for the purpose of determining the contract under which the work will be awarded. The determination of the contract under which the work will be awarded will be based on the design characteristics of the proposal and the Engineer's qualifications and will not consider the Engineer's rates.
