Educational Bonus. 20 (1) The County will make the following annual payments for the completion 21 of course work described in pars. (4)(a) and (4)(b) herein for all 22 employees in the bargaining unit: 23 $125.00 per year for 16 credits 24 $175.00 per year for 28 credits 25 $225.00 per year for 40 credits 26 $275.00 per year for 52 credits 27 $325.00 per year for 64 credits 28 $500.00 for Associate Degree or 75 credits 29 $750.00 for Bachelors Degree 30 These payments shall be made on an annual basis as soon as 31 possible after December 31 of the current year. No payments will be 1 made to employees for any year in which they do not remain in the 2 employ of the Sheriff's Department for the full calendar year.
Educational Bonus. The Department agrees to provide an educational bonus of $2,000.00 to members of this bargaining unit who hold the classification of PPG I or Dental Intern; and who will do their PPG II or second year of dental training at a County facility. This bonus shall be paid as a lump sum payable on August 15 of each year of the contract. The Department agrees to establish in consultation with CIR, a DHS Resident Office by September 30, 1998. As one of its functions, this office shall explore ways to provide assistance i.e. completion of the Resident's licensure packet to the Residents.

Educational Bonus. It is agreed that in addition to the base salary, as determined by each individual employee’s placement on Appendix A, that for the 2018-19 contract year each employee who has provided to the District, on or before September 1, 2018, proof that they hold a professional endorsement and a baccalaureate degree and twenty-four (24) or more additional credits will receive additional funding as provided by the Legislature for this placement. For those employee’s providing proof that they hold a professional endorsement and a master’s degree will receive additional funding as provided by the Legislature for this placement. Said payments shall be divided by twelve (12) and paid monthly as part of salary compensation.

Educational Bonus. All full-time unit employees upon certifications and/or recertifications in their area of practice shall receive a one-time payment of $250.00 upon receipt of the certification. All full-time unit employees with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing will receive a one-time payment of $520.00 upon receipt of their degree providing the employee has not already received this bonus. All full-time permanent employees as of June 3, 1997 who complete a Master’s degree in a nursing program by September 30, 1999 will receive a $1,040.00 bonus annually following receipt of the degree. All full-time employees with a Master’s degree in nursing hired after June 3, 1997 and all full-time unit employees who earn their Master’s degree in nursing after September 30, 1999 shall receive a one-time $1,040.00 bonus upon receipt of their degree providing the employee has not already received this bonus. These bonuses are not compounded in any one year. Eligible employees will receive only the higher bonus to which they are entitled. All bonuses and payments for certifications are payable upon completion of the initial probationary period.
Educational Bonus. All full-time employees who are not required by JHS to have a Master’s degree for their current classification but earn a Master’s degree on or after October 1, 2014 in their area of practice at JHS shall receive a one-time bonus of $1,040.00 upon receipt and proof of their degree. All bonuses and payments for certifications are payable upon completion of the initial probationary period.
Educational Bonus. In addition to the salaries prescribed in Appendix 3, the Employer will pay monthly bonuses set forth hereunder to all employees utilizing the additional preparation in the position held. Proof of the degree or certificate from a school of recognized standing must be submitted by the employee to the Employer. In accordance with the above, an employee possessing more than one degree or certificate shall be entitled only to the highest bonus provided in the Schedule. Payment of the bonus shall commence at the start of the first full pay period following filing with the Employer the required proof of standing, except that a newly-hired employee who is qualified for an educational bonus on her or his date of hiring shall be paid from that date. This applies to all new employees hired after the 1st of July, 1975. Employees hired on or before the 1st of July, 1975, will not be prejudiced in any way by this provision.
